New this year! Changes to make this year's conference even better
Each year, the conference committee requests feedback from attendees to find out what we did right and where we can serve you more effectively. As a result of last year's feedback, we've made the following changes this year:

The seating areas for the conference sessions will be bigger. Last year, some of the sessions were overcrowded, so this year, we'll reconfigure the meeting area to allow for more room in each session area and add tables for each session.

The Royal Palm Literary Awards ceremony will be condensed. It's great to recognize everyone's achievements, and the RPLA will always do that. But we're also restructuring the ceremony to both celebrate the great work of our winners, but also allow more time for networking or sleep.

Early morning sessions. The sleep will be important, because for the first time this year, we'll include early morning workshops that will prime your creative process for the entire day. Saturday morning's session features Jamie Morris of Woodstream Writing Workshops, with an early morning creativity kickstart. Sunday morning, you can choose between Rik Feeney's session on using pictures or prompts or Leslie Halpern's session on chosing the right word for a prompt.

FWF Silent Auction Returns
A unique aspects of last year's Florida Writers Conference was the silent auction to benefit the Florida Writers Foundation. Conference attendees had a great time browsing and bidding on the wonderful items.

The silent auction is back, and will conclude a little earlier, so you can more easily claim your auction items before you leave.

To see the great list of items currently available or get information about donating an item, see the silent auction website.
