February 1: Deadline for submissions to The Gulf Coast Do It Write! Literary Competition, sponsored by the Pasco/New Port Richey group. The top three winners will have their entries read by an acquisitions editor. Details...

April 19:
Third Annual Do it Write! one-day writers' conference sponsored by the  Pasco/New Port Richey group. This is an outstanding learning and networking opportunity. FWA authors can even sell their books during the conference. Details...

evanovichAuthor Janet Evanovich started her Plum Spooky Tour at Barnes & Noble where FWA Tampa has been meeting for years. Good thing FWA volunteers helped out. Over 600 people attended the signing!

Now writers in the Lady Lake/Oxford area have two meetings to choose from. The Lady Lake group led by Coco Parmenter will continue to meet during the day. Newly-appointed Group Leader, Chris Coward will lead new evening group in Oxford. Details...

The Maitland group, led by Bettie Wailes, is meeting in a new location. Details...

As leader of the Virtual Group, Chris Hamilton is introducing FWA to a variety of Internet technologies so members can learn and connect without leaving the comfort of their homes. Participate in the Virtual Critique Group, listen to Chris interview publishing industry experts, and read his weekly Publishing News on the FWA Network.

There's so much to see and do. Genre discussion groups are particularly lively.
