us that there were a record number of submissions this year, finalists
have been notified, and the awards are off being engraved! Winners are

SEPTEMBER 27: Bring writing to be read and critiqued to the Pasco/NPR Writers meeting.
SEPTEMBER 27: The Ponte Vedra Beach Writers welcome travel writer Lucy Beebe Tobias who will talk about researching and writing her Florida travel book, 50 Great Walks in Florida.
OCTOBER 4: Shelley Lieber, author former McGraw-Hill editor presents: 4Ps to Publishing Success; Get Your Manuscript Off Your Desk and into Print to the Asheville Writing Enthusiasts (AWE).
OCTOBER 4: Longwood Writers will resume their study of the Marshall Plan for Novel Writing.
OCTOBER 9: Young Adult author Eugene Orlando and manuscript editor Kaye Coppersmith will lead St. Petersburg writers in a hands-on experience that will get everyone involved. Congratulations to John Rehg on being named Group Leader.
OCTOBER 14: Kay Day will share knowledge of writing for the freelance, non-fiction market with the River City Writers in Jacksonville. Much appreciation to Judy Connolly for her outstanding
service to FWA during the past two years. As she steps down as the group's leader at the October meeting, new leader Darlene Myers will take the helm. Thank you, Judy and Darlene!
OCTOBER 15: Melbourne writers should bring 12 copies of their work for (cold) critique. Participants will write comments on the copies and turn them back to you. Submissions will be chosen by lot with preference to FWA members. Also bring 12 copies of another piece of work for distribution at the meeting to be taken home for warm critique at the next meeting.
