FWA Creates Foundation to Improve Literacy
FWA Directors have authorized $2000 to initially fund Florida Writers Foundation, an independent
sister organization dedicated to improving literacy. FWF has already received an unsolicited donation of $1600 from Outskirts Press,
a publisher quite supportive of FWA over many years. FWF is registered
with the IRS as a 501(c)3 charity, so donations are tax deductible.
Grant writers and other volunteers will be needed to support this effort. Contact Chrissy Jackson or Dan Griffith for more information.
