Point Person Needed to Help Distribute Trees in Community
Arlington Parks, Recreation and Cultural Resources seeks help
|
In the midst of budget cuts and snow, Arlington County is happy to announce that free trees will again be distributed to Arlington County residents through their civic, community or condo association around this year's Neighborhood Day celebration.
To get free trees to your community, Arlington County needs a point person to help them alert neighbors of the free trees, record requests and then coordinate their distribution (we will work with you to pick a location and date for all the trees to be delivered for community members to pick up).
FYI Requested tree totals must be submitted by Friday, April 30. So, act now so the community has time to thinks and plan where to put these trees. Also, trees will be delivered by the Parks and Natural Resources staff to a single location in your neighborhood designated by the Tree Coordinator beginning on Saturday, May 8 and extending through Friday, May 14.
Those interested should send the name of their organization and coordinator's name to ArlingtonTrees2010@gmail.com. |
