| DARPA Relocating to Founders Square
USGSA signs lease with The Shooshan Company
|

The United States General Services Administration has signed a lease to relocate the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency to The Shooshan Company's Founders Square development. The 13-story building, under construction, 675 N. Randolph St., will be the first building in Arlington to meet the Department of Defense's new Minimum Anti-Terrorism Standards for Buildings. Some requirements of the Department of Defenses' Minimum Anti-Terrorism Standards for Buildings include force protection, an 82' standoff distance and controlled parking. "We feel extremely fortunate, especially with this difficult economy," said John Shooshan, chairman of The Shooshan Company. "To be able to play a role in this collaborative effort with Arlington County, the Commonwealth of Virginia and the federal government to retain such a prestigious and important organization as DARPA for both our local economy an national security."
