Through its Consortium funds, The Bernstein Companies has purchased, developed and repositioned over 3 million square feet of commercial real estate in a variety of projects- ranging from office buildings to hotels.  Based in Washington, D.C., The Bernstein Companies has over 70 years of real estate development and investment expertise throughout the mid-Atlantic. The firm is focused on developing, re-positioning, purchasing and establishing joint ventures in commercial real estate transactions typically requiring $5 to $25 million of equity.

Kelly Kelly & Company's goal is to help clients be successful in their endeavors through their core competencies in financial and tax matters. Based in Tysons Corner, VA, the company provides tax and accounting services to closely held businesses and non-profit organizations. Kelly Kelly & Co. also offers tax planning, audited financial reports, and QuickBooks consulting and set up.

Marymount's 26th Street Project and Capital Campaign Moving Forward
Marymount University buildingMarymount University's 26th Street project - located at the intersection of 26th Street, Old Dominion Drive, and Yorktown Boulevard in north Arlington - is moving ahead on schedule. The project includes an academic building focused on the sciences and health sciences, a residence hall with suite-style housing for 239 students, and four levels of underground parking. Construction began this spring, and the new facilities are slated to open in fall 2010.
 
The 26th Street project is the cornerstone of Marymount's comprehensive Campaign for Excellence and Distinction. The campaign will also fund scholarships, faculty development programs, and a Center for Mission and Ministry.

Partnership to Host Roundtable Discussions
Starting September, the Partnership will host quarterly roundtable discussions aimed at fostering an exchange of information and enhancing collaboration among area businesses, organizations, and property owners and managers. The quarterly meetings will be held in March, June, September, and December. Attendees will learn about the latest news and developments in Ballston and Virginia Square while getting to know others who share the same interest and concerns.  For more details please contact Pamela at pkahn@ballstonvsquare.org.

Ballston Arts & Crafts Market July 11th - A Jewelry Celebration!

Over 15 jewelers will be showcase their amazing designs, from the elegant beaded masterpieces of Hope Augustini to the colorful glass and sterling rings and pendants of Torpedo Factory's own, Poppi. Other unique, hand-crafted pieces include earthy ceramics by Eoff Street Studios, urban gear by One vs. Many, whimsical illustrations by Laughing Moon Artworks and retro fashions by Jen-A-Fusion. Plus, live music by Tabletop Poets from noon - 2:00pm.
