Happy New Year!
We greet this year with excitement as Yogalaughs continues to expand into daily practice, classes, celebrations, retreats and seminars.
As we look ahead, we have some dreams for new ways to help us all laugh a bit more.
--- Playing with Facebook and Twitter ---
Social media has opened a new way of communicating and connecting with others that will only continue to grow and expand. What a great medium for sharing almost anything we can invent with laughter yoga!

--- The Park of the Internet ---
Last Summer/Fall, we wanted to lead laughter yoga every day in Lee Park. We showed up at Lee Park almost every morning for several weeks. Because almost no one was in the park at that hour, we had very few participants.
There is another world-traveled "park" of people who may be interested in laughter yoga: Those using the Internet. We plan to record our living room laughter meditations (including our cat's meowing laughter) and post them on Facebook (at least) weekly. This will provide new opportunities to laugh - just using a different "location." If we receive enough interest, this idea may evolve into live, Skype laughter sessions. Fun! |

--- Retreats, Conferences and Team Building ---
Both Leigh & Jon are experienced at leading large groups and presenting new material. Both have also worked in diverse corporate mangagement positions - so are aware of the components of building solid teams.
Over that past year, we've led groups of 65+ over in laughter yoga. During the prior year, Leigh led groups of 150+ with professional enthusiasm and ease. This year, we've already been invited to present at several conferences and look forward to more opportunities! |
|
--- Parties ---
Laughter yoga opens up a party by lowering social inhibitions. Leigh led laughter yoga at several private parties last year and it went over famously. If you plan to have a party that needs something to help get it started, consider letting laughter yoga do the job! |
--- Therapeutic Communities ---
Cancer patients and staff, Alzheimer's care givers, at-risk youth and re-entry programs at the jail are communities we plan to work with in the coming year. If you know of a therapeutic community that needs to laugh more, please contact us. |
|
--- Class/Club Attendance ---
Many people attend a laughter yoga session, seem to have a wonderful time, want to come back...and we may or may not see them again. We are going to try to find out why. It's when laughter yoga is adopted as a regular discipline that the truly life-changing results start happening. Please email us any feedback you have on boosting class/club attendance! |
