UPCOMING EVENTS
|
We have many events and outreaches coming up but due to the porn industry following us into events and harassing us, we can no longer put where we will be.
But we WILL be there from porn conventions to strip club outreaches to fighting porn in court and rescuing women and men out of the sex industry.
Will you help us continue our work today? So many need our help!

Pink Cross is growing so fast and many women and men are contacting us for help DAILY.
We are the only organization that continuously focuses on helping women and men get out of and recover from porn as well as fight porn in the court system and help those struggling with porn learn the truth about porn so we REALLY need your help financially. SUPPORT PINK CROSS MISSIONARIESWe send missionaries all over the country to raise awareness about the harms of pornography, spread the Gospel, and reach out at porn conventions to porn stars and porn fans with love and truth. To say it boldly, we do it all! But we really NEED your support. Churches and Christian organizations are often afraid to get involved so we rely solely on caring and compassionate individuals like yourself. (Even though over 50% pastors admit to struggling with porn - Covenant Eyes porn statistics) If your church is courageous enough to join us, then please let us know immediately at info@thepinkcross.org We need churches to sponsor us as missionaries We thank you for being part of this great move of God and we speak a HUGE blessing over you for your generous gift! World's Largest Army of Ex Porn Stars Because of YOU!
Dear Friends,
I want you to know that you have helped us to do the impossible. Your donations have helped us reach thousands of sex workers worldwide, helped rescue over 100 women and men out of porn and sex work and helped millions of people around the world learn the truth about porn.
Your donations also helped create the world's largest army of ex porn stars who have testified before congressional staff, California State Capitol, LA City Council and LA County Board of Supervisors to make sure our state and nation knows the TRUTH about the illegally operating porn industry.
We have received death threats and extreme harassment by pro-porn people and pornographers because of our boldness to speak out. Shelley and Garrett are especially being attacked on a daily basis and this has greatly affected donations coming in. The porn industry will stop at nothing to discredit Shelley and Garrett and Pink Cross Foundation. Of course they will, we are a serious threat to the porn industry!
So far the donations coming in are half than last year. This is frightening because we have more people than ever coming to us for help. We are also short-staffed because we can't afford a full time assistant for Shelley. Shelley is the powerhouse behind Pink Cross. Passionate about helping people learn the truth about porn, she has done over 200 interviews for radio, national and international news, TV, and documentaries while ALSO working on the web sites, writing blogs, rescuing women, and fighting porn in court. Read her extensive resume here.
And Shelley does NOT get paid for TV, Film, News or Radio Interviews. She does it so YOU and the whole world can learn the truth about porn.
Shelley has sacrificed her health at times due to the overwhelming work load she carries. When she went to congress, she went with a bleeding ulcer. There was NO WAY she was going to miss out on an opportunity to educate congress and staff about the illegally operating porn industry. For years pornographers have lobbied at our nation's and state's capitols portraying a healthy and safe industry. Shelley HAS to testify before the government to undo all the lies the porn industry has fed to America's lawmakers. And Shelley is a bulldog. She WILL be there no matter what.
But Shelley needs more help! Will you make a donation today or this month to help Shelley so she can hire a full time assistant and continue the work of Pink Cross Foundation?
We also need a building. For years the Pink Cross headquarters has been in the Lubben's home. Everyday porn is a part of their lives. Please help the Lubben family and donate a generous amount for Pink Cross to move into its own building. Our goal is to raise $50,000 this month to make this reality happen. If everyone on our newsletter list just gave just $10 we would reach that goal.
Please give generously. We promise to keep saving women and men out of the porn industry. We promise to keep putting the truth out there so porn addicts can get set free. We promise to keep going until porn is no more.
To show you appreciation for donating to Pink Cross, Shelley is offering her FREE PDF e-Book, "Truth Behind the Fantasy of Porn" which has received great reviews! She will email you the link in a Thank You email for your generous donation.

Confession Corner
Confession by Male Porn Star Tommy Gunn and Why He Can't Find a Wife in Porn - BBC News On a movie set in an industrial area of Las Vegas, Tommy Gunn, one of America's top porn stars, was describing his ideal woman: "Self-sacrificing and caring and nurturing and wants to have children. Honestly, I'm not going to find her in this business." In the eight years he's been working in porn, Tommy's done something like 1,200 scenes. Muscular, faintly Latin-looking, with a slight touch of Robert De Niro, he's built a reputation as dependable in an industry where reliability is a man's most highly-prized professional asset. You can get some idea of the nature of Tommy's films from the titles. Addicted 2 Sin, Call of Booty, Fleshdance. A few days earlier, at his rented ranch house in the countryside north of Los Angeles, Tommy had showed me the small army of statuettes he'd won for his performances - the porn equivalent of Oscars. In his garage, amid the collection of motorbikes testifying to his past life as a mechanic, he'd taken down a few of his DVDs from a high shelf.
Today's shoot was for a scene for an internet site. Tommy was playing a "secret shopper" checking out the customer service at a video store. Tommy's "love interest", if that's the right phrase, was the store manager, played by 23-year-old Tasha Reign. Tommy told me he'd been single for four years. He'd struggled to find a lasting relationship with someone who was willing to put up with his lifestyle - or possibly he found it difficult to love someone who was willing to put up with it. "It's not normal leaving somebody you love to go and have sex with someone you don't," he said. Then, emphatically, he repeated: "That's not normal." Read more here. Confession by Former Editor of Men's Magazine: LOADED - Now I'm a father I bitterly regret it- by Daily Mail The day that summed up the sheer ludicrousness of what it meant to be the editor of Loaded, the most notorious 'lads' mag' of all time, is one etched on my memory.
It was January 2004, and my team had been through our rivals' magazines doing a 'nipple count' - meticulously tallying the number of bare nipples that appeared in one issue. To our dismay, we'd been trumped by Maxim, who'd weighed in with a hefty 83 (which included one bare-chested man, but we let them have that). 'Damn, they beat us this month,' I announced. 'What are we going to do about it?' When one wag responded, 'Why don't we print 100 pairs of boobs, over six pages, in glorious close-up?' We all whooped with delight and reported to the pub to celebrate. So it was that we did a 'We Love Boobs' special, which notched up a then-record (although by today's standards relatively tame) 200 nipples. As an extra layer of schoolboy comedy, we decided to caption each picture with a jokey term for breasts. From 'aardvarks' to 'Zeppelins', we had it covered. Sitting around a boardroom table with six other university-educated men trying to think up 100 comedy words for breasts summed up just how low British men's magazines had sunk. I never stopped to consider issues like the crass sexualization of women. Moral naysayers were party poopers, and if they attacked me, I'd attack them back - harder. We were under massive pressure to sell magazines to keep our shareholders happy. We knew sex sold, so our thinking was: why not make Loaded a frenzied, Harrods-sale of nudity? It was knowingly mindless, and for a while it was fun - and extremely successful. When our We Love Boobs issue (which had George Best's wife, Alex, as the cover star) hit the news stands, our readers bombarded us with thank you letters and sales soared. Back then, it never once occurred to me that we were objectifying women or doing any harm. I fiercely denied that Loaded was a 'gateway' to harder pornographic magazines. It was in my own interests to do so. If we were classified as 'top shelf', we'd have been put in opaque plastic bags like the pornographic magazines, which would have been commercial suicide. But such thoughts came home to roost five years later in 2009, when I finally grew up and became a father. It had such an effect on me and changed my views so forcibly that within a year I'd quit a dream job that, for me, had become a moral nightmare. When I look back now, I see we were severely pushing the envelope of what was considered decent. We were normalising soft porn, and in so doing we must have made it more acceptable for young men to dive into the murky waters of harder stuff on the internet. And, for that, I have a haunting sense of regret. When I became editor in 2002, I realized all our readers really wanted was acres of flesh. The trouble was, the more we gave them, the more they demanded - and the racier we had to become in order to satiate their desires. But it was the arrival of mass broadband internet in the mid-Nineties, fuelling a massive and uncontrolled access to hardcore porn, that changed everything. Now young boys - for there were, and still are, no effective age restrictions on access to online porn - were spared the expense and embarrassment of even buying a magazine.
Constantly under attack as a public standard-bearer for moral depravity when the anonymous internet porn barons were nowhere to be seen, I became a skilled defender of the indefensible.
By quoting scores of carefully-selected global government reports and PhD papers that 'proved' porn wasn't harmful, I successfully out-manoeuvred two female members of the Labour Party at the Durham University Debating Society, lambasting the proposition 'the house argues that pornography is degrading to all women'.
I was then invited to the Oxford Union Debating Society, and argued in favour of topless girls in tabloid newspapers, which my opponents proposed 'had no place in a decent society'. To a packed house that night, I won by a margin of 3:1.
Then my life changed for ever. In May 2009, I became a father to Sonny. A month later, I turned 40. Almost overnight, my world view changed.
My partner, Diana, had always supported my career, but at gatherings with the new friends we'd made at National Childbirth Trust classes, I'd cringe with embarrassment as other parents teased me by asking 'would breastfeeding be a turn-on or a turn-off for Loaded readers?' For the first time, I became secretly ashamed of what I did for a living.
My life had become a charade, switching between diametrically-opposed extremes - nipples by day and nappies by night.
I started seeing the women in my magazine not as sexual objects, but as somebody's daughter. Some of Loaded's models had children themselves, and I'd think 'what's your kid going to think of you when they're old enough to understand Mummy used to get her boobs out for a living?'

Confession by Porn Star Jenna Jameson - 25 Good Reasons Why Noone Would Ever want to Become a Porn Star - Compiled by antipornography.org
All quotes in this compilation are taken from the autobiography "How To Make Love Like A Porn Star, A Cautionary Tale", by Jenna Jameson (with Neil Strauss), Hardcover edition. Copyright 2004. (Highly recommended for anti-pornography activists! It is indeed a very cautionary tale.)
1. Being a pornography performer can be bad for your emotional, mental, and physical health, and you will likely get sick at times as a result of your work.
"And so it began. I woke up at five every morning and got to the studio by seven for makeup. If I weren't so young, my face would have looked like hell after all the sleep deprivation.... Suze, I soon realized is also a shark. Her specialty is naïve young girls - much like myself... Once she sank her teeth into me, she didn't let go. She shot me until I was half dead." (Pg. 105)
"For the girls who get penetrated in every hole in their first film, it's physical and mental overload." (Pg. 146.)
"Though every performer is required to have comprehensive monthly testing for sexually transmitted diseases, STDs are still a valid concern.... You never know what kind of lifestyle people are leading off the set." (Pg. 326-328.)
"Every time you're on set you're swapping fluids with someone, so your body is constantly fighting colds and flus. You get sick. You get run down." (Pg. 329)
"A week into shooting, I did a scene with Kylie Ireland, Felicia, and Vince Voyeur. That night, when I returned from work, I had a sore throat.... By the end of the movie, my throat was so swollen it hurt to swallow and I was so weak I could barely hold a conversation. When I returned home, I looked in the mirror and there were huge white lumps all over my throat...The doctor who finally saw me was a hack. "Okay, you have strep throat." (Pgs. 360-361)
"...he said a woman in the industry had contracted HIV... Before this announcement, no one in the industry to any of our knowledge had contracted the HIV virus before. And condoms were rarely used in films that that time. We canceled shooting that day because no one could work. The next day, Steve told us that it had been a false positive. Everyone was relieved, but at the same time, we had all changed: we were now aware that something like this could happen." (Pg. 377)
"I had become the main attraction in this whole circus, and it was taking a much bigger toll on my life than I realized." (Pg. 415)
"There are times when I wish the industry had a union, because the shooting schedules are inhumane. It generally takes a good three weeks to shoot even the crappiest independent film; we do it in one to six days." (Pg. 454)
2. In order to really succeed, you will likely have to get painful breast implants.
"One of the most frustrating things about the film work was that the producers never wanted to put me on box covers. They all said my breasts were too small. My boobs were certainly big enough for all the men who stared at them every time I left the house. But they weren't big enough by porn standards. Just like at the Crazy Horse (strip club), the girls with the monster silicone got all the attention." (Pg. 160)
"All those customers and box covers lost to girls with bigger, faker breasts had built a deep insecurity." (Pg. 169)
"Mine (breast implants) didn't turn out so well.... With an implant that big underneath my muscle, it felt like fucking Barnum and Bailey's Circus was sitting on my chest. I cried when I looked in the mirror afterward: they seemed way too big for my frame. I drank a little to kill the pain..." (Pg. 170)
"I didn't realize until years later how stupid I was to get them. (Breast implants.) Drugs tend to impair your judgment..." (Pg. 171)
3. You will likely have to have sex with other people you find repellent.
"While I was waiting for my first sex scene, my co-star, a gentleman I had never met before named Arnold Biltmore, sat next to me. He had a soft, pasty body; a porous, greasy complexion; and a kindergarten haircut, parted in the middle and combed to either side. Nothing about Arnold Biltmore turned me on. And in ten minutes I was supposed to have sex with him. When our scene started, he tried to kiss me. I turned my head away from the camera, so that no one could see me grimace.... As my head kept bumping into his stomach while I gave him head, all I could think was, 'What the hell am I doing here? This is disgusting.' A bead of sweat on Arnold's forehead...swelled and grew until it turned into a bubble, and then slowly pried itself free of his forehead.... When it smacked me between the eye, it flipped a switch in my head. 'I'm done,' I thought. 'I can't do this anymore.'" (pg. 161-162.)
"Other male actors were creepy, and looked at me as if they wanted me to be their wife afterwards; or they had erection problems and, even worse, hygiene problems." (Pg. 376)
4. Being a pornography performer can often be physically painful.
"It was such a challenge to look sexy and relaxed while manipulating my body into the various uncomfortable contortions...Even for... the simplest pose, like looking over my shoulder with my back to the camera, I had to arch so hard that my lower back cramped. When I see those photos now, it seems obvious that the sexy pout I thought I was giving the camera was just a poorly disguised grimace of pain." (Pg. 94)
I literally limped away from the set, licking my wounds..." (Pg. 374)
"When it came time for my first boy-girl scene, Rod, of course, cast himself as my partner. His very first thrust banged my cervix wrong. I doubled over in pain, rocking and moaning and clutching myself for fifteen minutes. It took another six hours before I was ready to have sex again. I'm still not sure why the pain was so sharp - I may have been swollen from the workout I had already been through in the previous girl-girl scenes." (Pg. 423)
5. The porn industry will objectify you and influence you to see yourself as an object.
"You are the product. (Pg. 333)
"The job of a porn star is not a calling - or even an option - for most women." Jenna Jameson (pg. 325.)

Shelley Ministers in Bratislava, Slovakia
God opened up huge doors in Slovakia. It was the first time an ex porn star visited their country to preach the Gospel and share the truth about the harms of pornography. Below is a video with translation and a letter from the Pastor thanking us for coming. Thank you for financially supporting Pink Cross so we can take the Gospel and truth about porn all over the world!
 | | Ex Porn Star Shelley Lubben in Slovakia! |
Dear Shelley & Garrett, Your ministry in Bratislava, Slovakia was definitely one of the milestones for our youth & YA ministry. 600 individual lives of people in the auditorium will never be the same because of what you shared and hundreds more were touched through the online broadcasting. I get emails from people from all over Slovakia who were deeply touched by the truths that you shared. The truth about pornography, truth about sin, but most of all - the truth about God's radical grace and love for us. Watching you and Garrett pray for individual people almost 1.5 hours after the event was just a great testimony of your true love for God and people. I personally met at least a dozen people who came because of an invitation although they were not born-again believers. Couple days ago I went for lunch with a man who came to the event because his wife sent him:-) They have two children and their marriage is in crisis because of pornography. He had no idea where he was going, but the Lord touched him, he came for prayer and is on the best path to receive Christ. One of our biggest TV stations - TV Markiza and magazine Tyzden are covering your story in the coming weeks. We pray thousands more would be impacted. Some of the churches are even planning to screen your talk to their youth groups. Thank you so much for taking the time & heart to invest into our country. We stand with you and will keep you informed about what God is doing. Vladimír Zak YA pastor, Bratislava City Church Slovakia

It was great to debate Ron because he sticks to the issue and doesn't do character assassinations. I did get an opportunity to share with Ron after the show about how porn IS sex trafficking and he graciously listened to me. Below is our debate on video. Enjoy!

About the President of Pink Cross
Shelley Lynn Lubben, born on the heels of revolution on May 18, 1968, is one of the world's leading advocates in the anti-pornography movement. A former pornographic actress who performed under the stage name of Roxy, she left the sex industry in 1994 when she caught Genital Herpes, a non-curable disease.
Upon her eight year recovery at the Champion's Centre in Tacoma, Washington, she reentered society as a new Champion woman and began teaching in prisons and rescue missions in Central California. Ordained as a Chaplain with the Order of Saint Martin, Shelley is also a graduate of Vision International University where she received a Bachelor's degree in Theological Studies. She is currently pursuing a Masters degree in Counseling and a Doctorate in Theology. Shelley has authored the powerful book, Truth Behind the Fantasy of Porn", written over 200 articles and fact sheets, has served as President of Pink Cross Foundation since 2007 and is on the Board of Directors for International Institute for Cultural Renewal.
Shelley has made over 100 presentations to international and national professional organizations, churches and universities and hundreds of interviews and appearances on radio, TV and film. Shelley has starred in several documentaries to include, "Traffic Control", "Out of the Darkness" and "Exxxit: Life After Porn". Read her extensive resume here. Shelley is known as an expert witness against the porn industry and has testified at California State Capitol for Assemblymembers Charles M. Calderon and Mary Salas on the porn tax bill as well as testified on the horrific work conditions in the porn industry before Los Angeles City Council, Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors and Congressional staff and more. Shelley is tenacious in exposing every illegal aspect of the porn industry. Shelley has appeared on NIghtline, FOX News, ABC 15, KGET, KERO, MTV, Dr. Phil, 700 Club, Joni Show, Howard Stern, Current TV and various Christian and secular TV shows. In 2007 Shelley and her husband Garrett founded Pink Cross Foundation, a nonprofit organization that offers hope, healing and support to adult industry workers around the world. Pink Cross also combats community deterioration due to pornography and prostitution through attempts to educate legislation about the illegally operating porn industry, to educate adult industry workers about sexually transmitted diseases and sex trafficking in porn, to ameliorate the secondary negative effects of pornography on the general public and to toughen laws to protect children from accessing online pornography. For her tireless efforts, Shelley has gained world-wide respect among anti-porn activists and the American public. But Shelley's success has come at a price. She and her family have faced death threats and extreme harassment by pornographers. Asked why she continues to fight in the face of such fierce and frightening opposition, Shelley boldly responds, "Pornography is rapidly destroying human lives all over the world. How can I not fight?" Shelley Lubben is sought worldwide to speak, educate, testify, and counsel individuals, organizations, professionals and governments regarding the illegally operating porn industry, pornography addiction, recovery from sexual abuse and the sex industry and the Champion life. Shelley is a mother of three beautiful daughters and married to Mr. Wonderful, Garrett Lubben, for seventeen years.
