PRAISE GOD - THE PINK CROSS FOUNDATION IS EXPANDINGDue to the overwhelming task that God has set before the Pink Cross Foundation, we have brought on 2 full-time missionaries to ease the ever-increasing workload of reaching out to porn stars, researching the porn industry, educating the public, and speaking to lawmakers to enact change and bring about justice. We are very excited, as this will both increase our effectiveness as a ministry and enable us to reach out to even MORE people with the hardcore truth and the unfailing love of Christ. In recent months, God has been moving the Pink Cross forward in unprecedented ways. Shelley has brought her message of truth into some of the most powerful arenas of government, and now the mainstream media is starting to take notice. We are literally moving in uncharted territory, and we are confident that this is only the beginning. As pornography continues to plague our society and culture, the need for our message and ministry becomes even more crucial. Jesus Swoops Down On Howard Stern: Porn Star Turned Reformer Visits
Monday, Nov. 8, Shelley Lubben visited the Howard Stern radio program to share her amazing testimony and dispell the destructive myths that porn is glamorous and porn stars love what they are doing. For almost 30 minutes, Shelley talked candidly about her life of prostitution, sexual abuse, homelessness, STDs, suicide attempts, and life after porn. For Shelley, it wasn't just about dispelling the fantasy behind porn, but about proclaiming the healing power of Jesus Christ in her life.
Howard and Robin listened intently to everything that Shelley said, including the horrific details of her contracting herpes and cervical cancer. They were clearly shocked at what she revealed. Towards the end, Howard commented "You're lucky to be alive, aren't you?" to which Shelley replied "Thank God through Jesus Christ that I didn't die."
They agreed with Shelley that the porn stars who visit their studio are "full of it" and do not enjoy making porn. In talking about 2 porn stars who recently visited the studio, Howard said "They had me convinced that they really loved sex and loved this lifestyle." Shelley explained that porn stars are constantly trying to prove themselves, and are caught up in this lifestyle that, in reality, they do not enjoy.
Howard was clearly inspired by Shelley's story, and expressed how happy he was that she had turned her life around. When asked about her marriage and her sex life with Garrett, Shelley explained how the two of them invite God into their sex life. This clearly piqued Howard's interest, to which Shelley replied "Porn sex is violent and horrible - marriage sex is hot and beautiful. God blesses our sex life."
Howard admitted that pornography destroys relationships. "If you are in a relationship, it (porn) does take you out of the relationship." Howard and Robin not only heard Shelley's message, but clearly received it as well. They were very receptive to everything that she said, and Shelley continually brought it back to God and His sustaining and healing power in her life. "God is practical," she told them. "God's wisdom in the word is what taught me how to live."
For the gospel message to be preached so boldly on a show that openly promotes pornography can only be a work of the Holy Spirit. Shelley will continue to reach out to Howard and his staff in the future, but the impression that she left through her testimony and the truth she laid out was powerful. In the wrap-up segment, the reporter referred to Shelley's work as "evangelism against porn," and even said that she brought Jesus into the studio.

Ex Porn Star With AIDS Shares Her Story
 Ann Marie, formerly known as porn star Brooke Ashley, has courageously come forward with her powerful story of her horrific experience in porn and her amazing rescue by Jesus Christ. She shares her story below...
"On March 29,1998, I tested positive for HIV. I had made a movie that was to be my last. I was given lines of cocaine before the movie and a bottle of my favorite champagne to drink during the movie. I remember countless men, many of which I knew, some I did not. And I remember crying and asking them to stop because it hurt so much. I didn't truly understand what I was in for.....Time went, by, it wasn't till I was to work on another movie for Michael C. That the test I had at that time was okay but the one I took the day before was positive.
I was devastated. I was lonely, I felt like GOD had abandoned me. Someone I had known for six years, had forged his test and infected me and five other women in the adult industry. I was so hurt. I felt like I was dying emotionally. My heart and chest never hurt so much before. Every time I would wake up, I would cry myself back to sleep. How could this be? Could this be a mistake I wanted to convince myself. But it wasn't. Soon after I had newspapers and tv shows calling me and tabloids even. I never wanted to be invisible so much."
Aside from contracting HIV from the porn industry, Ann Marie has overcome an enormous amount of pain and trauma in her life, including mental illness and drug addiction. In 2004, she discovered she had full-blown AIDS, yet she continues to battle, perservere and fight like a champion. Despite her suffering, she exudes tremendous faith, and a joyous spirit. She is one of the most courageous woman we know, and her love for Christ and positive attitude have been a huge blessing to us. She is a warrior, and God is going to use her in powerful and mighty ways.
"Despite all my own wrongdoings, I believe God was present in that too. I can't tell you all the ways I know. But I am not scared to die anymore. I know that there is Jesus Christ who died for my sins and if I tell Him my wrongdoings He will forgive me, whereas before, I just thought I was a bad person unworthy of God's love. I have Jesus Christ who died for my sins and with Him I feel whole again. Thanks for letting me share my baptism with you."

Chapter 2: Send in the Clowns
When we entered our adult years we became sexual spectacles and demanded higher payment in the form of attention and cash as compensation for the neglect and sexual abuse that we suffered as children. I like to call it porn star currency. We will lie to get it. We will steal to get it. We will prostitute ourselves and risk our lives to get it. Porn stars can juggle HIV, Gonorrhea and Chlamydia while we fearlessly reinfect our-selves with even more STD's. We can do amazing feats with our minds and bodies that would terrify most ordinary people. We can walk a thin line of death and life at great heights without any fear of falling. With the help of drugs and alcohol our skills are enhanced to tolerate huge amounts of physical, mental and emotional pain. Our infected bodies are covered with sores and traces of bruises hidden beneath our daring and flaring images. We are pornographic superstars performing in the world's greatest freak show at a website near you!
Chapter 24: Building a Champion Mind
I found rest in God's gentle arms during those peaceful hours on the beach. Proving to me His personal and great love for me, I began to understand what a Father's love truly was. Unlike my earthly father who was too busy, God was available, tender and concerned with every detail in my life. Finally, I received the attention and approval I always needed. Sad that I missed out on a relationship with God in the past, I recounted the wasted years I looked for approval from men in stripping, prostitution and porn.
What a waste of eight years, I miserably thought as I tossed down a cracked shell to the ground.
But God answered and promised me back, "Shelley, I promise you that not one ounce of your pain will be wasted. I have a powerful plan for your life and will use all of your suffering to help others someday." I held onto His promise.

Porn Industry Denies STD Problem

October 25, 2010 - The final scheduled Cal/OSHA Advisory meeting on blood-borne pathogens in the adult film industry took place on October 25 in Oakland. Cal/OSHA has repeatedly stated the fact that condoms are already mandated by existing law which states that blood or other potentially infectious material cannot come into contact with skin without barrier protection. Cal/OSHA has been holding these open advisory meetings to get input from the industry and other stakeholders (which includes not only those in the industry, but those who help those who leave the adult industry, public health officials, and others who are effected by the porn industry) as to how they might improve the existing law to improve the health and safety of those in porn.
The epidemic of sexually transmitted diseases (STD) that currently exists within the industry has alarmed Cal/OSHA (and anyone else who looks at the statistics) and brought us to this point.
In September, 2009, Los Angeles County Department of Public Health reported 2,396 cases of Chlamydia, 1,389 cases of gonorrhea, and five syphilis cases among porn performers. It was also reported that Chlamydia and gonorrhea prevalence in porn performers is ten times higher than that of Los Angeles County 20-24 year olds and five times higher than that of one of Los Angeles County's highest risk populations. Just this month, another porn performer was tested and found to be HIV positive which adds to the previous 25 cases of HIV that were reported by Adult Industry Medical Healthcare Foundation (AIM) since 2004.

4th Annual Christmas Porn Star Outreach: Need Supplies!
This December is our 4th annual Porn Star Christmas Outreach and we really need your help! Thanks to your generous support, we have sent 100's of boxes to precious men and women all over the country who are rebuilding their lives away from porn, or are currently in the industry.
For many of them, Christmas is the hardest time of the year, due to loneliness, drug addiction and being estranged from family. For some, Pink Cross Christmas boxes are the only gifts they will receive. With your help, we hope to send out 50 boxes this year.

Also, we need major supplies NOW for our LARGEST outreach at Adult Entertainment Expo Outreach in Las Vegas January 6-9. Every year the Pink Cross Foundation shows up and delivers our bold message that Jesus Christ loves porn stars and that they were made for better things. We offer free goody bags, Bibles, Cd's, STD education, the truth about pornography and more! In the months following our outreaches, numerous women and men in porn come to us seeking help out of the industry. Most of them remember us, even months after the convention has ended.
Ex-porn star Andi Anderson, after receiving the love of Christ through our outreach team at one of last year's conventions, realized that she WAS made for better things, and has quit porn altogether. She is now in recovery and working towards a better life, with the help of God and the Pink Cross Foundation. About Shelley
 Shelley Lynn Lubben, born on the heels of revolution on May 18, 1968, is one of the world's leading advocates in the antipornography movement.
