Never before in American history have we seen such a real opportunity to shut down the Porn Industry as we are seeing at this very moment! Will you continue to help us go all the way? Right now we have the attention of the authorities in many high places of this state and country but all this is draining us of our financial resources. Pink Cross has been fighting the good fight, traveling to the California State Capitol, to Cal/OSHA meetings and Shelley even briefed Congress in June on the illegal and hazardous work conditions in the porn industry. But NOW is our chance to shut down the porn industry! We are going to City Hall to fight even harder and then we are going to Cal/OSHA in Oakland to expose the porn industry again. It may be generations before we have this opportunity again, so we must go forward with all we've got at this moment. The consequences of us not acting are too great. Countless lives are at stake.

I put on a good show but I never liked performing tricks in the sex circus and preferred spending time with Jack Daniels rather than the male performers I was paid to fake it with. That's right, none of us hot blondes enjoy making porn. In fact, we hate it. We hate spreading our legs for sexually diseased men. We hate being degraded with their foul smells and sweaty bodies. Some women hate it so much that I would hear them vomiting in the bathroom between scenes. I would find others outside, smoking endless chains of Marlboro Lights...
Chapter 2: Send in the Clowns
When we entered our adult years we became sexual spectacles and demanded higher payment in the form of attention and cash as compensation for the neglect and sexual abuse that we suffered as children. I like to call it porn star currency. We will lie to get it. We will steal to get it. We will prostitute ourselves and risk our lives to get it. Porn stars can juggle HIV, Gonorrhea and Chlamydia while we fearlessly reinfect our-selves with even more STD's. We can do amazing feats with our minds and bodies that would terrify most ordinary people. We can walk a thin line of death and life at great heights without any fear of falling. With the help of drugs and alcohol our skills are enhanced to tolerate huge amounts of physical, mental and emotional pain. Our infected bodies are covered with sores and traces of bruises hidden beneath our daring and flaring images. We are pornographic superstars performing in the world's greatest freak show at a website near you!
Chapter 24: Building a Champion Mind
I found rest in God's gentle arms during those peaceful hours on the beach. Proving to me His personal and great love for me, I began to understand what a Father's love truly was. Unlike my earthly father who was too busy, God was available, tender and concerned with every detail in my life. Finally, I received the attention and approval I always needed. Sad that I missed out on a relationship with God in the past, I recounted the wasted years I looked for approval from men in stripping, prostitution and porn.
What a waste of eight years, I miserably thought as I tossed down a cracked shell to the ground.
But God answered and promised me back, "Shelley, I promise you that not one ounce of your pain will be wasted. I have a powerful plan for your life and will use all of your suffering to help others someday." I held onto His promise.

HIV IN PORN AGAIN??
Tuesday, October 12, 2010 - Today we have learned of another HIV outbreak in the illegally operating and hazardous Porn Industry. The L.A. Times contacted the Adult Industry Medical (AIM) clinic that adult film performers use and they confirmed that a performer has indeed tested positive for HIV. An AIM clinic counselor 'would not say the gender of the person, what companies he or she worked for, when the person was tested or whether AIM had notified state and county health officials.' At least half a dozen porn companies have halted production as a result of not knowing what performers had worked with the person known to have HIV.
This is the second outbreak in two years! An actress tested HIV positive last year and was allowed to work the following day! At that time an AIM clinic official said the outbreak was 'not a major event.' Previous HIV outbreaks have also occurred in 2004 and 1998 - not to mention the recent discovery by L.A. county officials of 16 unpublicized cases of performers contracting HIV according to AIM's internal records. This means that there have been at least 25 cases of HIV since 2004 - that we know of.
PORN IS DESTROYING LIVES AND MUST BE EXPOSED!!
Ex Porn Star Shelley Lubben's upcoming book entitled 'Truth Behind the Fantasy of Porn' - which is dedicated to the hundreds of women and men who have died in the porn industry from AIDS, suicide, homicide and drug related deaths - exposes this deceptive, deadly, disease filled industry for what it really is. She recalls the initial porn industry 'promises' of health and safety in an excerpt from her new book:
Within days we're sent to the adult industry medical clinic to get tested for sexually transmitted diseases. With open arms and warm smiles, we're welcomed by caring medical staff with calm assurances that we'll be "kept safe."
Dr. Sharon Mitchell, "doctor" to the porn stars who walks around in a white lab coat and doesn't have a medical degree, claims that among performers there is, "Less than 7% HIV, and 12-28% STDs. Herpes is always about 66%. Chlamydia and gonorrhea, however, along with hepatitis, seem to stick to everything from dildos to flat surfaces to hands, so, pardon my expression, but we are usually up to our asses in Chlamydia."
But the porn industry is up to its ass in a lot more than that according to the Los Angeles Public Department of Health. In September, 2009, LAPDH received astounding reports of 2,396 cases of Chlamydia, 1,389 cases of gonorrhea, and five syphilis cases among porn performers. Between 2004 and 2008, repeat infections were reported for 25.5% of individuals. It was also reported that Chlamydia and gonorrhea prevalence in porn performers is ten times higher than that of Los Angeles County 20-24 year olds and five times higher that of one of Los Angeles County's highest risk populations. To top that off, 25 cases of HIV were reported by the Adult Industry Medical Healthcare Foundation (AIM) since 2004. AIM is the adult industry medical clinic that offers testing services and limited medical care to porn stars. Due to the failure of talent testing clinics to routinely screen for rectal and oral infections, a sustained high level of prevalent disease persists among porn performers.

HIV In Porn: Former Porn Actresses Speak Out
In the wake of another HIV outbreak, more than half a dozen adult film companies have stopped production and more shutdowns are anticipated as porn employees wait for HIV test results from AIM who says it could possibly take two weeks to learn who all was infected. Porn stars are worried and upset as they want to know if they had recently worked with the infected person(s). Yet AIM is not sharing that information with the porn stars and it's not clear at this time if they even know who worked with who!
Four former porn actresses respond:
I thank GOD every day that I am Free from this deadly industry! But I am truly saddened by this HIV outbreak. I feel sorry for the individuals that will suffer with the fear of the unknown because of not properly tested or cared for by AIM Health Care Foundation! The porn industry needs to come to an end! These people are horrible and don't care about the health and safety of the performers they just care about the money. The Porn Industry says: "The Show Must Go On!"
 Despite ANOTHER HIV outbreak in porn, those in the Porn Industry are quickly downplaying the significance and severity. The lying and denying campaign has begun in the media with the hopes that the public outrage will soon fade and they will be able to go back to what they have been getting away with for years.
Just days after the latest HIV news broke, Samantha Lewis who is CEO of one of the largest porn production companies went on Southern California Public Radio and said the following:
"Our Industry is a very safe industry.
"There's never been a documented (HIV) case in our industry.
"We are probably one of the safest industries when it comes to transmitting STDs or HIV. It's never come from our industry, it's always come from another country or someone being very irresponsible.
"Well, I don't see the epidemic. Why is this being so sensationalized in our industry? The epidemic is outside our industry. Especially with HIV, it has nothing to do with our industry."
That is a LIE. 80% of UK Teens Addicted to Porn
According to a recent survey, more than 80% of kids ages 14 to 16 in the UK say they regularly access porn online, and almost a third said they first saw Internet pornography by age 10. This survey is a part of Psychologies magazine's Put Porn In Its Place campaign.
What Porn Does to Kids
What has so many psychologists anxious about these numbers? After all, do we really have any hard evidence that porn is damaging to people? Isn't this just about a clash of prudish ethics with our modern liberal culture?
John Carr of the Children's Charities' Coalition for Internet Safety doesn't think so. He says we must act upon reasonable inferences drawn from reasonable evidence. He says adults are lining up outside counseling offices with relationship problems related to pornography consumption.

Shelley Lubben is a wife and mother, ordained Chaplain and missionary to the sex industry, fighter for truth and advocate for sex workers and porn performers who are abused by the adult industry.
Shelley is also a former porn actress fighting tirelessly against the pornography industry which affects most of the world in a destructive way.
Unrelenting in the cause of human rights, Shelley is passionate to educate people all around the world about the abusive and illegally operating porn industry as well as inspire the world to stop viewing pornography and stop contributing to the destruction of men and women who are being abused daily in the pornography industry.
Shelley began working with adult industry workers in 2002 when she began volunteering as a teacher and counselor at local rescue missions and prisons in the State of California. She has worked at Madera Rescue Mission, Bakersfield Rescue Mission, Central California Women's Facility Prison, and Valley State Prison for Women.
Having a passion to reach out to adult industry workers all over the world, she was stirred to action and put up a web site in 2004 sharing her story and the truth about the abuse she experienced in the porn industry. Unprepared for the overwhelming response she would receive from the public, she realized something more had to be done about the destruction pornography was inflicting upon Americans and the world. She also realized, God had called her to expose the filthy and abusive porn industry and to be unafraid and unrelenting.
Inspired by the Spirit of God, she and her husband Garrett founded Pink Cross Foundation to reach out to adult industry workers offering emotional, financial and transitional support to those who want out of porn and also help for those struggling with pornography and other victims of pornography.
Shelley received her Bachelor's of Theology degree at Vision International University in California on December 7, 2009 and is an ordained Chaplain with the Order of Saint Martin.
Shelley has attended Pierce College in Tacoma Washington for her general academics, Wisdom For Life Leadership School in Tacoma Washington and Harvestime International Bible College where she received a Christian Workers Certificate in Biblical Studies in 2003. Shelley majors in Theology and minors in counseling and Creative Writing.
Shelley enjoys raising her daughters, gardening, web design, reading about great Reformers, inspiring people to never give up and is extremely involved in missionary and social work.
In addition, Shelley travels internationally and speaks on the negative effects of pornography urging people to stop contributing to the porn industry while also inspiring them to live the amazing lives God has for them.
