Greetings!
The past two months have been nothing short of a nonstop kick to the porn industry's ass! Just look at all God has done in only two months:
The AIDS Healthcare Foundation joined by former porn actresses and Pink Cross Foundation filed official complaints asking California state regulators to force San Fernando Valley porn companies to require actors to wear condoms and follow health and safety laws.
The Cal/OSHA complaints will be supported with over 60 porn DVDs where unsafe sex and illegal production of porn is demonstrated.
The porn industry better pay attention because legislation is about to get involved in a major way. Former porn actresses will make sure of that.
"We aren't playing around with the porn industry," stated former porn actress Shelley Lubben and executive director of Pink Cross Foundation who publicly challenged the porn industry to a debate in a press conference held at Sheraton Universal Hotel on Thursday, August 20.
So far no takers for the debate. What, is the porn industry scared of a few former porn actresses with overwhelming evidence of porn companies not following Cal/OSHA standards?
Shelley Speaks To LA County Board of Supervisors
Shelley Lubben, former porn actress, testifies and makes a whole hearted plea to LA County Board of Supervisors to do something about the rampant sexually transmitted diseases and illegal and hazardous work conditions that adult film workers are subjected to daily in the California porn industry where 85% of the world's pornography is made.
Supervisor Yarovslovsky miraculously acknowledged us after our testimony and said "This is a legitimate issue" and also, "If we can do something about it we will." Thank you Supervisor Yarovslovsky!
Please take a moment to call Supervisor Zev Yaroslavsky and tell him that Los Angeles County must do something NOW to protect people working in the porn industry as well as the general public.

Pregnant Porn Star Needs Our Help!
 Many days I sit and wonder at what point I lost control of my life and put it in the hands of porn valley agents. Many girls in porn come from backgrounds of drug filled homes, have been beat or raped.
My story is a little different. Growing up my household at times was filled with domestic violence but my parents stayed together and it seemed to rarely effect my sister and I. I went to church weekly, was involved in beauty pageants, Cheerleading, dance, girl scouts and had all the material things a young girl could ask for. That soon all changed when my mom decided to leave our dad and our household income changed for the worst.

Former Porn Actress Genevieve's Story
My work name was Genevieve and I want to tell you that the porn industry is not glamorous at all. Although on the surface it may appear to be fun and enjoyable, it really doesn't compare to what lies beneath the surface.
I started in porn in 2009 when I was only twenty years old.
I loved and craved attention. I always believed that I was porn material because of how much attention I would get and how much love I would feel from it. My mother and father divorced five years ago and because of the emptiness I had felt for so long, I was desperate for love.
I remember browsing through ads on Craigslist when I approached one that attracted me. It was an ad that was for Latina women and it said that they needed pretty, slender, curvy girls to make fast and easy money.

September 25, 26, 27 - Pink Cross team flies across the country and hits the EXXXOTICA NY porn convention. While there, Shelley is interviewed by CNN, Pink Cross is featured in a short film by Ledger Live, two men decide not to enter the porn industry after talking to Heather, the team educates porn addicts on STDs and porn performers on their health and safety rights, porn stars are given lots of love and pink bags filled with goodies, Jan and Shelley put on a comedy show (coming soon on video), Shelley and Mel stay up until 3:30am ministering to a top Vivid contract girl (you are so precious to us, sweetie!), and then sneak into a porn pot party afterwards to reach out out to women and men in the adult industry.  Shelley seeks out Ron Jeremy at 4am to talk to him about the terrible condition of the Vivid contract girl to SEE IF HE CARES since he is supposedly her friend and when he doesn't, Shelley challenges Ron Jeremy to a debate who quickly answers, "I will destroy you," only to later change his tune and suggest Nina Hartley instead.
Note: Shelley is used to going to bed at 8:30pm every night so these late night porn parties are very painful for her. It would definitely take a lot of drugs to keep this lifestyle up.

October 2, 3, 4 - The very next weekend, Pink Cross hits AdultCon, ANOTHER porn convention in the city of Los Angeles. Back to back conventions, you ask? That's right. Pink Cross will stop at nothing to reach out to porn stars, porn addicts and expose the truth about porn.
The team again goes all out to educate porn fans and adult workers on the truth behind the lie of porn offering love and hope at the same time, Shelley is interviewed by ABC on the convention floor, prays healing over porn stars and porn addicts, and interrupts an interview between Lisa Ling, special correspondent for the Oprah Winfrey Show, and Steve Hirsch, CEO of Vivid Entertainment, the world's largest porn company, in which she challenges Steve to a public debate.

About Shelley Lubben and Pink Cross Foundation
 Shelley Lubben is an American Missionary.
She is also a wife and mother, fighter for truth and advocate for sex workers and porn performers who are abused by the adult industry.
Shelley is also a former porn actress fighting tirelessly against the pornography industry which affects most of the world in a destructive way. Unrelenting in the cause of human rights, Shelley is passionate to educate people all around the world about the abusive and illegally operating porn industry as well as inspire the world to stop viewing pornography and stop contributing to the destruction of men and women who are being abused daily in the pornography industry.
Shelley's message: PORN IS NOT GLAMOROUS. Because of the huge epidemic of sexually transmitted diseases, drugs and prostitution, and abuse toward adult industry workers with lack of help available, Shelley and her husband Garrett founded the Pink Cross Foundation, a nonprofit public benefit corporation created to reach out to adult industry workers offering emotional, financial and transitional support for those who want out of porn and the sex industry.
Shelley has been working with adult industry workers since 2002 when she began volunteering as a teacher and counselor at local rescue missions and prisons in the State of California. She has worked at Madera Rescue Mission, Bakersfield Rescue Mission, Central California Women's Facility Prison, and Valley State Prison for Women and has traveled throughout the United States as a speaker and counselor on the negative effects of pornography at various recovery programs, churches and secular organizations. Shelley and her team have worked with thousands of people struggling with pornography addiction in the Pink Cross Foundation Help Forums as well as reach out to thousands of porn stars and sex workers through outreach and individualized care packages.
A former stripper, prostitute and pornographic actress in the 80's and 90's, Shelley suffered major negative effects of the pornography industry and was diagnosed with Bipolar disorder, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Depressive Disorder, Impulse Control Disorder and substance abuse due to years of trauma from the sex industry.
In 1994, she was infected with the non-curable disease Genital Herpes while making a pornographic film and later developed early cervical cancer. Shelley had three unexpected pregnancies from prostitution acts, two ending in miscarriages. Later, with her husband, she had an Entopic pregnancy and a third miscarriage. FOUR total pregnancy losses. Shelley understands very well how destructive the pornography industry is.
After finding God through Christianity and enduring eight hard years of recovery at the Champion's Center in Tacoma, Washington, Shelley was able to live a normal healthy Champion life.
Shelley is currently pursuing a Bachelor's of Theology degree at Vision International University in California and is near completion. Shelley has attended Pierce College in Tacoma Washington for her general academics, Wisdom For Life Leadership School in Tacoma Washington and Harvestime International Bible College where she received a Christian Workers Certificate in Biblical Studies in 2003. Shelley majors in Theology and minors in Creative Writing.
Shelley is also the executive director of Pink Cross Foundation, a non-profit organization that reaches out to porn stars and sex workers to help them rebuild their lives as well as helping those who struggle with porn addiction.
Shelley enjoys raising her daughters, cooking, reading about great Reformers, sharing the good news and inspiring people to never give up and is extremely involved in missionary and social work.
Shelley speaks knowledgeably on such topics as the secondary negative effects of prostitution and pornography, the truth behind the porn industry, legislation concerning adult entertainment, how to overcome pornography addiction, the risks and effects of sex work, sex education and other subjects to include Theology, Christianity,and more.
