The San Francisco Chronicle has given Todd's book, as well as Dads on Fire a bit of love. The Chron referred to DoF as "a popular podcast" and the ABCs for Expectant Dads as "an amusing and dependably informative manual for anxious fathers-to-be." How about them apples?

There's no doubt that the holidays are a mixed bag. On the one hand - business tends to shut down. You can pretty much dial it in, merely pretend to do your job and get away with it. (Legitimately, we mean. Not like usual.)

But, the holidays also bring the insanity and stress that comes from being around lots of family for long stretches of time. The crazy aunts and uncles appear from their caves around the holidays. The battles over important things like the remote control or turkey leg take center stage. Someone always gets inappropriately drunk and don't even get us started on your cousin's turkey. How is it possible to dry out a turkey so badly that it's practically turned to powder?

On this show - Melissa hits the street to hear some of great horror stories and, just in time, Elizabeth provides us with a few tips to survive the holidays. As always, we've got our wine pairing, five songs and TWiP Notes.

Although nobody should need a reason to give gifts to the favorite people in their lives (wait, we just threw up in our mouths a little bit)...
