Dads on Fire Quote of the Week: He Said/She Said

He Said: It was great!
She Said: Raw.

Sometimes what happens spontaneously is the most memorable stuff of all. During an impromptu conversation with two members of our live Tam Cellars audience a married couple offered their commentsto the question: What was your experience like with the "little blue pill?"

Dads on Fire 12: The Election Show - Who Makes the Laws?

Sure, when we're hanging with our friends, we're always talkin' tough about how we make the rules in our house! What we say goes! Right? Yeah, not so much.

With elections on everyone's mind (or if not in our minds, at least on those ugly signs on your neighbor's lawn), we thought we'd find out for real. Who makes the laws? And what kind of laws would you like to make? Laws for parents and kids, alike.

We sent Producer Melissa out on the street (that doesn't quite sound right) to interview men, women, kids (and a few people that we're not quite sure how to categorize). The results were pretty much as expected. And, don't miss the unbelievable interview with Elizabeth and audience member Carey.

If you missed it, listen to the broadcast on our website or subscribe using itunes
Coming Up Next: The Bitch & Whine Show!
We usually call this "bitch and moan," but since we have this wine theme going on (and since we found this great image online - a moment of silence for Google please...thank you) - it's the "Bitch & Whine Show!"

Once a month, we'll take a break from our usual format and dedicate an entire show to just "Getting it off your chest." Consider this show the chance to get some (much needed?) therapy without having to pay $175/hour. Let it all hang out: Bitch about your kids, your husband, your wife, your boss. Everything goes.
Call the D-Line: 415.992.7990

Have a gripe? Need a nice place to unload? Bitch maybe? Whine a bit? But don't want to pay the bucks for therapy (not that there's anything wrong with that). Well, we've got just the solution. Send us an email, or better yet - call our recently launched D-Line 415.992.7990 and unleash your inner bitch. You think you've got problems? We wanna hear 'em! We might just play them on the show and if we do...you can win a bottle of Arista Pinot Noir.
Upcoming Shows
We know how difficult it is to schedule a life around kids, work, significant others and even spouses, so here's a preview of what's coming up. Mark your calendars and join us every Monday night, 7PM:

November 11: Bitch & Whine (NOTE: We will not be at Tam Cellars)
November 19: Thanksgiving - The Annual Visit from the Crazy Uncle
November 26: Cool Gifts for the Holidays
December 3: Happy Hanukkah - the Religion Show

As always - we'll have the perfect wine-pairing for our show theme. (Can't wait for the Manischewitz on December 3.)

TWiPNet - What's Cool for Parents on the Net
Is there any doubt that being a good parent (or even a not-so-good parent) requires drinking good wine? Well - that's why we're pleased to work with Arista Winery. Located on the famed Westside Road in Healdsburg, CA, Arista is a true artisan producer of Pinot Noir (and Gewurztraminer, Pinot Gris and Zinfandel).

In addition to the wine absolutely rocking, the Arista estate is a family-friendly welcoming environment that encourages picnics on the front lawn and long days spent wandering through the Japanese rock garden. Life's too short to drink bad wine, people!

And, if you want to contribute to the new and improved Dads on Fire - send us an email with what you'd like to write. If you're good enough, we'd love to have you (write for us, that is). The Casting Couch is now open (that could be taken in SUCH the wrong way. Whatever.).
