In 2008, the Potential Gas Committee (PGC), a group of industry experts affiliated with the Colorado School of Mines, focused on shale gas resources as part of its biennial estimate of U.S. reserves. Florida Trend Cites Taimerica Research
In its article "Trade Missions are Expensive Alternatives", Florida Trend magazine agrees with and quotes recent Ed Bee research on the limitations of the David Birch small business job creation findings.  Florida Trend is the major business news publication in Florida with a circulation of 57,000.  In his article "Coming Full Circle:  Is the Era of Small Business Over?" Ed describes the advisability of a balanced approach to economic development that addresses all of the avenues of job creation:  entrepreneurship, branch locations, and plant expansion.
