Sec. Moret to Attend Bastrop Kickoff Meeting; Bastrop has Important Rail and Workforce Assets for Attracting Jobs
Louisiana Secretary of Economic Development Stephen Moret is scheduled to be in Bastrop, Louisiana to help kick off the economic development strategic planning process funded by the State of Louisiana through Louisiana Economic Development.  This strategy provides the platform for the transformation of the parish economic over a five- to ten-year period.  The meeting will take place at 2 pm on Monday, October 12 at the Municipal Center in Bastrop, and is open to the public.

In other news, Taimerica's Recovery Plan for the City of Bastrop is complete, and shows that Bastrop has some valuable assets to market.  A 90,000 sq. ft. available building and 1 million gallons of excess sewer capacity are both assets that will play a significant role in attracting new business.  Click here for more information, and click here to download the brochure "Need a skilled manufacturing workforce?  Bastrop has it!"
