Taimerica to Develop and Administer In-state ED Certification in Louisiana
The Louisiana Industrial Development Executives Association (LIDEA) has chosen Taimerica to develop and administer an in-state certification program for Economic Developers, elected officials, and community volunteers.  Topics for 2009 include, in addition to a basic course, Building the Workforce of the Future, Building Community Capacity and a Competitive Business Environment, and Real Estate Development and Reuse.  Participants from both inside and outside the state of Louisiana are welcome.  For registration information, please call Charlotte Batson at 601-543-6246 or email cbatson@taimerica.com.
Taimerica Estimates Venice Impact
Taimerica recently completed a study to estimate the impact of improvements at the Port of Venice in Louisiana for Waldemar S. Nelson and Company, Inc.  This project required Taimerica to develop a new method for estimating economic impact, based on geographic and geologic trends in offshore drilling, and the resulting demand for cargo and supplies.  Venice is an important supplier of offshore oil and gas drilling and production facilities.
