20% - 30% of your purchase will be donated to my fundraising campaign for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society
About a month ago I joined The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's (LLS) Team In Training®;
the
world's largest endurance sports training program. In addition to training for an
endurance event, I have committed to raise funds for LLS.
Since 1988, more than 360,000 volunteer participants have helped raise
more than $850 million to fund blood cancer research and improve the quality of
life of patients and their families.
I will be participating in The Nation's Triathlon in Washington, DC on September 14th. I have fully committed to the physical challenge by training with teammates and on my own. Early morning bike rides, swim sessions, and runs are now part of my daily routine. My fundraising commitment is equally important so I have decided to donate a portion of of all Mushka proceeds towards my fundraising goal in the following ways:
· 20% of Mushka proceeds will go directly to my fundraising campaign until my Aug. 20th deadline.
· 30% of all sales made within the next week (now through June 20th) will go directly to my fundraising campaing.
So, if you've been looking for a good reason to splurge on a new piece of jewelry for yourself or a friend... here it is! Shop for a cause!

Happy Father's Day!
A couple months ago I told you about how
my mom was the inspiration for the look of my first jewelry collection. Well, if my mom inspired my heart, then my dad definitely inspired my hands. He built a workshop in our basement when I was little where I was always welcome. Looking back, I bet he was a little surprised at my interest in building... my older brother was the more obvious candidate for "workshop assistant" but he didn't show much of an interest. My dad and I spent months building my dollhouse - it was three stories with full electricity (and later, an "east wing addition"). The great thing about my dad is that he would have taken an interest in any activity that I chose whether it was something he liked or not. It just so happens that we have been able to bond over our love of tools, hardware stores, and working with our hands. Thanks to him, I discovered this interest very early on in life. Maybe I'll have a daughter one day that I can give that dollhouse too... and maybe she and grandpa will add a west wing. But if she just wants to rearrange the furniture and dress the dolls with grandma, that's fine too.
