Business leaders are invited to step up and be heard as a member of our dynamic Board of Directors. Only a few hours per month are needed to make an impact on the success and prosperity of businesses in Kimberley and area. We currently meet the second Wednesday of each month 7:30 am to 9:00 am at the Chamber Office. You can become active on any one of our action committees and take part in our important Strategic Planning session as well as our many great events. The complete calendar of board activities is also available. If you are interested in becoming an active part of our team please contact our President Schaun Goodeve and print and complete the Nomination Form and drop it off at the Chamber by November 17. On October 19 College of the Rockies President Dr. Nick Rubidge and members of his staff presented Kimberley business leaders with an update on activities at our local college. He highlighted the fact that the College has contributed over 13 million dollars to our regional economy and that they want to ensure that they are answering the needs of our business community. In addition to the many academic and trades programs available, there is a valuable resource tailor-made for busy entrepreneurs. Ed2Go is a collection of a wide variety of short-term online courses that will provide business people with the skills they need to succeed. Take advantage of our slower "shoulder season" and take a course. All of these affordable (mostly around $129), convenient and fun courses include an expert instructor and lessons supplemented by interactive quizzes, assignments, tutorials and online discussions. Kimberley Conference and Athlete Training Centre
Opening October 2010 - Get Your Business on the List
Exciting news for Kimberley! Set to open in mid-October, our new Conference and Athlete Training Centre is all but complete. This fantastic facility will provide Kimberley with year round economic and social benefits. The City of Kimberley will celebrate the opening in style with at least two events. We will share the details with you as they become available.

Local businesses can take part in the Conference and Athlete Training Centre opportunity by ensuring that they are included in the Centre's inventory of products and services. Representatives from the City recently attended the Incentive Works Trade Show in Toronto and obtained leads on 108 planners interested in our Conference Centre as a place to hold an event. As well, there are already 11 events booked that could benefit your business.
