The New Chamber Member Business
Directory
Another great reason to join your Chamber today!
The 2010 Kimberley & District Chamber
of Commerce Member Business Directory is set to be launched this Spring. While Kimberley businesses and the Chamber
are very much tuned into the "Internet Age", they recognize that there are many
people who prefer to use more traditional print media for information. The new Chamber Member Business Directory
will be produced in a handy, portable format that will provide exposure for our
members and ready access by everyone.
The directory will be organized primarily by local business region ie.
Marysville, Blarchmont, Platzl, Townsite, Resort and surrounding district. Then, member businesses will be grouped
according to sector such as Retail, Trades, Spas & Wellness, Professional
Services, etc. In addition to member business listings, the directory will
include a section for attractions and festivals. The result will be a directory
that will be valuable to local consumers, business people and visitors alike.
To be listed in the directory you must be a
Chamber Member - It is one of the many benefits of Chamber membership. Deadline
for inclusion in the 2010 directory is March 1. You can apply for membership today by calling
(250)427-3666, by visiting our website at www.kimberleychamber.com
or dropping into our office at 270 Kimberley Avenue.

Chamber Quarterly Business Events Business Opprtunities at the Kimberley Conference and Athlete Training Centre Our first quarterly business seminar was held Thursday February 4 at Kimberley Alpine Resort. Kimberley Economic Development Officer Heather Hornoi provided a detailed update of the progress of our centre and spoke to the many ways in which local Kimberley businesses can benefit from the project. One very important aspect of the process is the development of a comprehensive inventory of businesses and service providers that can be promoted to users of the facility. The product inventory data sheet is available at the Chamber Office and from the City. We plan to host additional presentations as the project nears completion.
HST FORUM - An HST Information Forum is planned for early Spring. This forum hosted by the Chamber of Commerce aims to provide local business people with the information they need regarding the HST. Watch our website and newsletters for the date and time.
