Destinations: Italy and Greece

More than 20 girls from across the country including three from right here in southern Nevada spent two weeks in Italy and Greece last month. This once in a lifetime experience is part of our Girl Scout Travel Program. Our travel opportunities help girls gain experience in planning, budgeting and earning travel funds, meeting new friends and making the world a better place through service.

Girls World Forum

Local Girl Scouts Rebecca Stolar (far left) and Suzannah Elliott (lower row center) played an important role as global citizens at the 2012 Girls World Forum  in Chicago, IL. The girls engaged with girls from around the world in discussions and take action projects that focused on three United Nations Millennium Development Goals: end poverty and hunger, promote gender equality and empower women, and achieve environmental sustainability.
