Daisy Petal: Rosie's Petal - Make the world a better place

Ever wonder just how much one person can make a difference in the world? Think you're too young or too small to make the world a better place - well guess again!  Earn Rosie's petal and learn how you can make small choices every day that will have a big impact on making the world a better place.

To earn Rosie's petal, you must do all three activities:
  1. Read "Rosie's Story," then talk about it
  2. Act out the story with your Daisy friends
  3. Practice making the world a better place
When you have earned Rosie's petal, you will have learned how you can help to make the world a better place!

To get started on Rosie's petal, refer to your Daisy, Girl's Guide to Girl Scouting for Rosie's story and a complete list of activities (you must complete one activity from all three areas).

Say it with Sign
Daisy Sign
Girl Scout Daisies learned a new language! The girls experienced the art of American Sign Language the best way possible: hands on with a certified ASL Interpreter. The girls learned the alphabet, how to tell a story as well as learned a song in American Sign Language.

Congratulations Troop 138!

Girls Speak Out The Girls Speak Out! contest gives you a chance to make your own Public Service Announcement (PSA) about what's important to you. If you're the top vote getter, your idea will be made into Girl Scouts' next PSA, professionally produced and all!

The first theme (The next 100 years...) ended in December 2011. The winner was actually a troop from right here in Southern Nevada! View their winning submission here.

The new theme is "we only have one planet".Make a PSA that asks others to go "green." Let people know what changes they can make - big or small - that add up to keep us all safe and healthy. Entries are due April 30, 2012. Voting will close May 15, 2012.

Click here for a chance to put your big ideas in front of a big audience. Good Luck and Have Fun!
