Dr. Hillel Abramson Visits YTC

 Last Friday, Dr. Henry (Hillel) Abramson, Dean of Academic Affairs and Student Services at Touro College South in Miami Beach, addressed the High School students and faculty. He focused on the life of Rabeinu Yonah of Gerondi (1200-1263), who is best known for his classic ethical work Sha'arei Teshuvah, a towering endeavor which delineates in precise detail the anguish of the true ba'al teshuvah who wishes to repent for his sins. The program, entitled " Burning Maimonides: Rabeinu Yonah of Gerondi, the Dominican Friars and the Dangers of Jewish Intolerance" described the nature of the Maimonidean controversy and discussed its implications for contemporary Jewish society as well. Guest of Honor at Annual The Dinner

With great Kavod and excitement, the Yeshiva announces this year's Guests of Honor will be Dr. and Mrs. Norman and Naomi Bloom. With over sixty years combined service to Toras Emes/Toras Chaim on the lay and professional level, the Bloom name is synonymous with our Yeshiva. It's hard to imagine anyone more deserving than the Blooms, to receive the Yeshiva's highest recognition, as this year's Guests of Honor. |
Rabbi and Mrs. Neal Turk to be Honored at Annual Dinner

 The Yeshiva is excited to announce that Rabbi & Mrs. Neal & Laura Turk will be presented with the Rabbinic Leadership Award at our upcoming dinner in January. Rabbi & Mrs. Turk have made an indelible imprint on our Yeshiva and the entire community and have always been in the forefront of efforts to support and further the goals of Toras Emes/Toras Chaim. Mr. and Mrs. Goldis to be Honored at Annual Dinner

The Yeshiva is excited to announce that the coveted Kesser Shem Tov Award will be conferred upon Mr. and Mrs. David and Chanu Goldis at the Annual Dinner. The Goldis Family of Hollywood is a long time, loyal Toras Emes family, who has been very supportive of the school and helpful in many ways. They are greatly admired within their community and we are fortunate to count them amongst the Yeshiva's closest friends.
