Greetings!
Greetings, I know it has been several months since you have heard anything from Randy, or myself. It has been a very busy summer. The opening of the gallery has been a lot of work, but fun and exciting as well. I want to thank those of you who have stopped in to the gallery. I know that many people stopped in when I was on the road, normally the case during the summer shooting season, Lisa our gallery manager did pass along your greetings and well wishes. This newsletter contains information about; the gallery, events, exhibits, and the 2008 workshop schedule. Beginning next month we will return to the photo-informational newsletter format. Exhibit of Lake Superior Images, by Val Doherty and John Gregor; ongoing.
Saturday, October 27 from 1-3PM. Book reading and signing by local authors, William Mayo and Kate Barthel of their book: The Mysterious North Shore. A collection of Short Stories about Ghosts, UFO's, Shipwrecks and More. Stop in to the gallery and listen to these talented authors.
Gitche Gumee: Views from Minnesota and Canada. October 13-27. An exhibition resulting fromphotographs created during the ColdSnap summer workshop, Lake Superior Shores, the Canadian North Shore. Closing Artists Reception, October 27, 3-6PM. Come and meet these six artists, enjoy a beverage while you view their fabulous work.
Africa: Heart & Soul, Minnesota to Kenya - a Medical Mission. Exhibit by Val Doherty.
Opening November 17, with Artists Reception from 5-7PM. Exhibit runs to mid December.
Join us for this incredible event--a journey in pictures. Meet the artist and members of the medical team that brought aid and a whole lot of love to the Kenyan people.
