Boogie By the Bay was a great success for many of our students and it was a defining moment in the career of our own Jason Wayne.  Jason has been dancing for 20 years.  He has slowly and continuously worked on his skills and was always different from the other dancers with his own unique style.  I say he was ahead of his time for so long.  We never had finances to travel so the move to Champion division came mostly through local events or events we were fortunate enough to be on staff.  Many times his talent was down played in the community because he hadn't won at a NASDE competition.  The politics in the swing world are hard to break through.  Well that all changed 2 weeks ago at Boogie by the Bay when just about every top competitor in the Swing world was present and dancing in the Champions division at the NASDE event.  What makes this story even more Sea-biscuit like is the fact that going into finals, Jason was the last leader to make it in..he had the least amount of call backs..again politics but, he made it.  When finally given the chance to shine in the world wide swing spotlight, he did not disappoint. Of course, he did have a great partner in Sara Van Drake.   This video is awesome but the energy in the room made it more incredible live.  The whole crowd was pulling for our underdog and ....he won!  I want to say Thank you to all our students, friends and fellow competitors that have supported him over the years, now the rest of the community knows as we have known all along....That Jason Wayne is something special!

Click Here to enjoy and share the video of the winning performance.

Sincerely,
