5th Annual
Northern California Swing Dance Challenge |
Our goal is to promote West
Coast Swing on a grassroots level and encourage all of our students to try
competition in a friendly and supportive environment.
How it works:
Our 5th
annual NCSDC includes exceptional instructors and their communities. Each instructor's venue will offer contests in Newcomer, Novice & Open Divisions. The winners of each division will go on to compete in the finals to be held April 25, 2010 at Kodiak Jacks in Petaluma. At the finals, all venues come together to offer a convention style atmosphere in a non-intimidating
setting.
At Finals:
Enjoy a full day of contests, workshops, meals & entertainment. The morning begins with Pro-Am competition, where students dance with their teachers and compete against other students at their level. After the Pro-Am Competition, learn from some of the best teachers in the swing world! This year we are very excited to add Michael Kielbasa to our roster that is already spilling over with big talent. Click here to go to the workshop schedule. After the workshops you may be hungry, so enjoy the dinner that is provided with your VIP ticket or purchase a meal from the Kodiak grill. A last chance Jack & Jill qualifier will be held after dinner in all divisions. The last chance is open to everyone, and is a perfect place to compete if you are unable to make it to a qualifier. The last event is the Top Dog Derby where the top level of professional dancers compete and entertain you for a big cash prize.... Confirmed dancers... Ben Mc Henry, Rob"I', Nick King, Courtney Adair, Makenzie Goodmanson, Michelle Kinkaid, Kristin Sorci, Yenni Setiawan, Kurt Sensor, Lauren Davis, Glenn & Sue Cravalho and Miguel De Sousa, just to name a few....
