The National Children's Bureau (NCB) has announced the appointment of Dr Hilary Emery as chief executive of taking over from Sir Paul Ennals on 1 August.

The Retired Greyhound Trust has appointed manager of welfare and integrity services and deputy director of regulation from the Greyhound Board, Peter Laurie, as its new chief executive. Peter can be contacted on 0844 826 8424.

Hospital Saturday Fund
 The Hospital Saturday Fund has announced appointments to two chief executive roles. Stephen Duff is the new chief executive of the HSF health plan and Paul Jackson is chief executive of the Hospital Saturday Fund. Both have worked at the HSF for over ten years.

British Waterways
 Tony Hales, current chair of British Waterways, has been appointed as the first chair of the new charity set to run the publicly-owned inland waterways in England and Wales, (that are currently managed by British Waterways), from April 2012.
The rest of the board is comprised: Nigel Hugill and John Bridgeman of the British Waterways board; Lynne Berry, chief executive, WRVS; Jane Cotton, human resources director and deputy chief executive, Oxfam; John Dodwell, former chair, Commercial Boat Operators Association; Tom Franklin, chief executive, Ramblers; and Simon Thurley, chief executive, English Heritage.
