New website aims to make register of charities more accessible A new website has been launched which is attempting to make the Charity Commission's register of charities available in a clearer and more accessible way. Commission consults on online plans The Charity Commission  has launched a second consultation on its plans to take all its services online by 2012, this time on the decision to withdraw paper forms for annual returns and annual updates. £750m lost by gift aid system 'stuck in the past' More than £750m is lost every year in gift aid because of an outdated system that disincentivises charities and the Treasury to make the most out of it, according to a report from think-tank Respublica.
