Greetings!

The government's spending review is imminent and represents a pivotal moment not just for the coalition government but also for the sector, as we find out where the dreaded axe is due to fall.

This week sees what is likely to be an extensive pre-review build-up get into gear, with the news that Navca chief Kevin Curley is to be the sector's representative on a key stakeholder advisory group, and the launch of an RSPB billboard campaign calling for environmental funding to be protected. It is clear that now, more than ever, civil society organisations must remind the government of the vital work they do.
