The government has started swinging its axe at the 800-odd quangos that inhabit the UK, and the Heritage Lottery Fund is surprised to find itself among those under threat. In this week's edition we survey the sector's quango landscape and blogger Gordon Hunter wonders how the millions might be better spent.
