The soul, clamoring for attention and arrogantly parading its importance, is calmed and quieted so that it can be itself, truly.

Sunday Worship Service

@ 10:30am
We don't wake up very often hoping to be more humble at the day's end. In fact, does anyone spend much time at all reflecting on growing in humility? Yet, at the same time, would you rather be surrounded by friends that were full of themselves, or exuded an inner humility? Would you rather be at the end of your life, admired & appreciated for your humility towards others or your ambitious accomplishments? The choice is obvious, so why does the description from R.L. Dabney seem so elusive: "Humility is the eagle soaring into the upper sky, yet never judging itself to have risen high, because its eye is fixed upon the distant sun."
This is the topic of our message on Sunday at City Life Church. Please know that you are welcome each week to join us--wherever you find yourself on the spiritual spectrum--to explore the Christian faith in a safe community.
