"Just as good drivers are aware that they have an optical blind spot, the more we understand our own mental blind spots, the better able we are to compensate for them."

@ 10:30am How accurate is your view of yourself & how open are you to hearing a dose of honesty from the outside?
Studies show that 64% of professors think their teaching style is above average, most drivers think their driving is above average, most business people think they are more ethical in their dealings than the average person, and the majority of adults would say they are smarter and more attractive than average. Out of 800,000 high school students surveyed, 70% said that they have above average leadership skills, and ZERO said they are below average at getting along with their peers.
It feels a lot like Lake Wobegon, where, as Garrison Keillor says it every week, "All the women are strong, all the men are good looking, and all the children are above average."
Come this Sunday, for message #2 in our series I'm Not Going to Lie To You, entitled "Honest to Yourself."
