This week Sunday, we begin a new message series called "Core Doubts," in which we'll explore common doubts people have about the Christian faith.
Our first doubt to examine is the question of the helpfulness of religion in general. A 2004 quote from political humorist Bill Maher gets us right into the issue:
"I do make fun of religion, and I will continue to make fun of religion because I think it's destructive and a waste of our time and energy."
