Library FAQ

Our thanks to Waterford voters for the resounding support we received with the renewal of our dedicated operating millage last month. The first millage proposal was passed in 1992.  Fox statue

The public library was established in 1964 by resolution of the Waterford Township Board. Since then we have grown physically to 27,300 square feet, a collection of 179,000+ items in several formats, and a staff of 32.

Over 51% of our community are cardholders ranging in age from 2 years to 93 years. On average, we see 818 visitors per day and checkout 31,000 items per month.

Library Factsheet is posted  on our website with more details about the Library, including information about the fox statue, Sly Boots, on view from both our Children's and Teens' areas.
