    Recycling your CD Jewel Cases
Have you got jewel cases from CD's in good condition that need a home? The library could use them to replace broken and damaged jewel cases on CD's in our collection. Good condition means no breaks or cracks in the surfaces and closing mechanisms that still work. Drop off these recycling candidates at our circulation desk on your next visit.

Fall Storytimes for Children ages 0-5 Postponed
Our weekly storytimes will not be starting until Tuesday, October 19th. Staffing constraints have left us short two children's librarians this September. Information about our fall storytimes that appeared in the Fall Parks & Recreation Brochure was submitted back in June when we knew 1 librarian would be away. We recently found out about the second librarian being called away from work for a few weeks. The remaining three children's librarians will have the time to plan, prepare, and present our wonderful storytimes in time for mid-October.

In essence, Session I Storytimes scheduled to start Tuesday, September 14th, are cancelled. We are sorry to disappoint so many parents and little ones, but we will resume very soon. We thank you for your understanding.

    Library Quote of the Month

    stackofbooks

My mother and father were illiterate immigrants from Russia. When I was a child they were constantly amazed that I could go to a building and take a book on any subject. They couldn't believe this access to knowledge we have here in America. They couldn't believe that it was free.

    ~Kirk Douglas (1916- )
