Greetings!

Need something to take your mind of the last of winter? Our Calendar of Events is bursting with programs to refocus your attention.

Our collections contain books and magazines that are brimming with ideas for gardens, redecorating the house, starting a new hobby or getting reacquainted with an old favorite. Maybe music or movies would be more suited to your mood. We can help you there as well. How about an audio book to "read" while you walk, jog, bike or drive?

A visit to either the Main Library or Leggett Branch puts you in the midst of a treasure trove of ways to anticipate the spring.

NEW AT THE LIBRARY -- RENTAL Collection

This collection consists of copies of best sellers. Copies in this collection are available on a RENTAL basis for walk-in only. They are not holdable electronically nor will staff pull copies to hold for callers.
The RENTAL Collection is located at the Main Library in the Circulation lobby to the left of the entrance to the Periodicals Room. It is quite small at present so just ask if you need help finding it.

How do you check out a RENTAL title?

    1. RENTAL copies check out with a non- refundable. rental fee of $1 for the first 4 days; collected at the time of checkout
    2. RENTAL copies out for more than 4 days will accrue an additional 25 cents/day beginning on day 5.
    3. RENTAL copies can be returned the same way you return all other items.
    4. Additional RENTAL fees that accrue on copies out more than 4 days will be assessed to your library account.
    5. RENTAL copies cannot be renewed.
    NOTE:
    • We have holdable copies in our regular collection of all the same titles as are in the RENTAL Collection.
    • Funds generated by the RENTAL Collection will be used to for purchase of copies of best sellers.

    Library Quote of the Month

    Book with girl

"The library is not a shrine for the worship of books. It is not a temple where literary incense must be burned or where one's devotion to the bound book is expressed in ritual. A library, to modify the famous metaphor of Socrates, should be the delivery room for the birth of ideas - a place where history comes to life." ~ Norman Cousins
