Need something to take your mind of the last of
winter? Our Calendar of
Events is bursting with programs to refocus your
attention.
Our collections contain books and magazines that are
brimming with ideas for gardens, redecorating the
house, starting a new hobby or getting reacquainted
with an old favorite. Maybe music or movies would be
more suited to your mood. We can help you there as
well. How about an audio book to "read" while you
walk, jog, bike or drive?
A visit to either the Main Library or Leggett Branch puts
you in the midst of a treasure trove of ways to
anticipate the spring.

Library Quote of the Month
|
|
"The library is not a shrine for the worship of books. It
is not a temple where literary incense must be burned
or where one's devotion to the bound book is
expressed in ritual. A library, to modify the famous
metaphor of Socrates, should be the delivery room for
the birth of ideas - a place where history comes to
life." ~ Norman Cousins
