 | Please pray for GEM Ghana (GEMOG) National Director Sammy Lartey who was admitted to hospital late on Thursday. Although I spoke with him on Thursday, he did not tell me that he has been hospitalized for fear that it would unduly worry us here.
Today however, his son Dr. Paul Lartey telephoned me to give me the news. We are not certain at this point what is really going on but we do now know this:
- He has been violently nauseous since last Monday (completely loosing everything he took into his system).
- He has lost much of the use of the left side of his body.
- He is suffering from headaches and dizziness.
He is in hospital in Kpong (near his home) but is scheduled to be moved to the teaching hospital in Accra on Sunday (8/22) for a C.T. scan.
Sammy has been shouldering all of the burden for the care of Pastor Simon over the last month. This is in addition to the tremendous amount of work that GEM requires of him. We are praying that this is just a bout of fatigue, however we must pray fervently for him.
