I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.
When Jesus said these words, He was clearly proclaiming the singular available path to eternal life. He was the way to salvation when He spoke these words, and He is the ONLY way today.
Our ministry in Ghana continues to go well. Through Sunday night, we have shared the gospel in thirteen separate venues and have seen 3,269 people indicate their decision to receive Jesus Christ into their lives. Praise God for His continued provision, protection and power, and thank you for the continuation of lifting up our name to the Heavenly Father.
On Saturday night, Nick and I traveled into a predominately Muslim area of the country to present the "Jesus" film to the remote village. During the invitation, on particular lady was obviously moved by the Spirit of God, but seemed extremely hesitant to come forward with the others during the appeal. I later learned that this dear woman was a Muslim who had heard the voice of Jesus calling to her, and had, in fact, just asked Jesus to come into her life through faith. She explained to Brother Sammy Lartey her fear was that in coming forward she would be treated harshly and possibly killed by some of the militant Muslim villagers. "However," she said, "I have asked Jesus into my life, and I must not be ashamed of Him." Such a testimony is affirmation that Jesus is the only way. Please begin now to pray for this woman as she begins her new life of faith and serves Jesus in her community. I am praying that her transformed life will be a living testimony for the hundreds of others to see.
Jeff, Nick and I continue to be overwhelmed by the blessings of God. We are thankful for the cooler weather and comfortable hotel. Our food is fine, but we do ask for you to pray that God will protect us from any sickness and problems. We do travel into some very remote areas, perhaps some of the most remote we have ever been on. And thus, we are on some very difficult roads and paths. Please pray for our safety and for the mechanical strength of our Land Rover and other equipment. We are in a very oppressed area of the country where there is much spiritual warfare. Please continue to pray fervently for us.
Until Jesus comes, I remain,
In His grip,
