Harvest Ghana Ministry
Next project scheduled for September

09PastorsOur next ministry project in Ghana, West Africa will take place in late September.    We are traveling into some of the most remote areas of the country to date and look forward to all that God is going to be doing through us!

Global Evangelism Ministries is committed to going where others refuse to go and carry the gospel of Jesus Christ to the world.

This is our mandate from the Lord and by His grace we are fulfilling our call.  We do, however, desperately need your helpghanaThis upcoming project will cost in excess of $11,000 (including travel, lodging, supplies, ministry expenses in Ghana, and personnel support for our national director in country.)  In addition to this, we hope to distribute 15,000 Bibles and New Testaments at a total cost of $4,000.

The total cost of this project to Ghana
will be  $15,000 --
but this will translate into
roughly $1.25 per decision for Christ.

It is our hope and prayer that you will continue to join us on this journey of faith, by praying for us and supporting this need with your most generous financial contribution.  Let us express our appreciation, in advance, for your continued help in our ministry.

"Lift up your heads; because your redemption draweth nigh."
- Luke 21:28 ASV

These are certainly strange days.  Every day it seems as if we are hearing more discouraging news about the state of affairs in our world.  News continues to come about lost jobs, increased unemployment and so on.  For most ministries this means a decrease in financial receipts.  Certainly this seems to be the case with our ministry.

However, even in these trying times, I know that God is in control!  We have always tried to remember that our support, while coming through individuals, is really always from God.  We look to Him alone for our supply.  HE has been our supply during good economic times and will continue to be our supply during these difficult times.

Our world, and especially our country, is changing every day.  Not all of these changes seem good to me, but I still know that God is in control.  I fear that America is on a collision course with disaster, but God is still in control.  While we seem to be in a downward spiral toward socialism (or worse) God is larger than all of this.  We are reaping exactly what we have sown.  Nearly every serious, legitimate Biblical scholar agrees that America will not be a player during the end times.  Therefore, I sincerely believe that what we are seeing today is necessary as God's plan for the ages unfolds.  What am I saying?  Simply this, while the current events cause great alarm and concern for the nationalist, it is reason to rejoice for the Christian!  Jesus is coming again!  This truth continues to compel GEM to carry the Gospel to all the world.

Thank you for your continued interest in what God is doing through the work of Global Evangelism Ministries.  Until Jesus comes, I remain

Yours, in the fulfilling of the Great Commission,

Summer Financial UPDATE
Please remember to pray for Global Evangelism Ministries and our financial needs.  Summer is our weakest time in regards to contributions received.

This, compounded by the already lagging gifts due to the current economy, remind us again of our absolute dependence upon our Heavenly Father for His provision.

It seems that each day we hear from another friend who is telling us that their support for this ministry must be reduced.

We thank God for each person who supports this ministry on a regular basis and those who give on a need basis as well.  We are trusting God to lead some of you to give a DOUBLE PORTION this month to help with the on-going expenses of our ministry.

Perhaps you have been waiting to respond to a specific need for our ministry.  The upcoming Ghana project is certainly a SPECIFIC NEED.  If you are not currently a monthly supporter, we hope that this newsletter will cause you to pray more specifically about how you can help meet the ongoing and pressing needs of this ministry.
