Welcome to RISING STARS, New World School of the Arts' single-most important fundraising event of the year, and our all-out display of talent, on Friday March 27.
Join us for an unforgettable journey through the world of art, and discover the talent that lies in our community, in this energy-packed, one-of-a-kind showcase. Starting with over 150 paintings by NWSA high school and college students, you will have the rare opportunity to walk away from the New World Gallery with your own original painting. At the Gusman Theater, you will feel invigorated by the line-up which, among other spectacular numbers, includes a captivating excerpt from the musical Titanic, Robert Battle's evocative choreography The Hunt, and Don Ellis' popular Jazz tune Indian Lady. The merriment continues immediately after the performance with an al-fresco benefit reception at Bank of America Tower-Sky Lobby Terrace. Mingle with luminaries, philanthropists, community leaders and arts supporters, place a bid on your favorite auction item or dance the night away to the tune of our award-winning Jazz Ensemble. A magical evening awaits you!
