"AMELIA GOES TO THE BALL" & "LA DIVINA"
A DOUBLE DIVA OPERA TREAT
THIS WEEKEND AT RANSOM EVERGLADES

A double bill of opera is presented by the New World School of the Arts' College Opera Theatre Ensemble along with the NWSA Symphony Orchestra, as Pasatieri's La Divina and Menotti's Amelia Goes to the Ball take center stage. Both productions are directed by NWSA faculty member Jeffrey Buchman and produced by Professor Rodney Miller. The orchestra performs under the musical direction of NWSA's Alfred Gershfeld. Driven by Diva's, both one-act operas have one thing in common -- each has as its central character a powerful, headstrong woman.
