"While Israelis hope to see a happy, democratic end to the popular eruptions of protest and discontent against dictatorial regimes in the Arab world, they are bracing themselves for less optimistic outcomes. To be sure, Israel was hardly mentioned during the huge, early demonstrations in Egypt and elsewhere. Over time, however, some anti-Israeli slogans began creeping into the protest movement's inventory. In Libya, insurgents have often described Gaddafi as a Jew."

OPINION
"What's depressing about the Palestinian reaction to the atrocity in Itamar is their refusal to take any responsibility for it - to say this was an act plainly committed in their name, in the name of their cause. When looking at Palestinian behavior, there has to be some point where Israel's responsibility ends and Palestinian responsibility begins."
Larry Derfner, Columnist, The Jerusalem Post

BZD condemns the cold-blooded murder of the five members of the Fogel family in the West Bank settlement of Itamar.
May the memories of Udi, Ruth, Yoav, Elad and Hadas Fogel be a blessing to their surviving family.
I Will Be Their Mother" Says 12 Year Old Tamar Fogel The eldest daughter of the Fogel family, 12 year old Tamar, promised her relatives: "I will be strong and succeed in overcoming this. I understand the task that stands before me, and I will be a mother to my siblings". The orphaned youngster's words were quoted in the Hebrew daily Yisrael Hayom.

AXIS OF TERROR
PM: 'We have to confront the axis of terror'
"To all those who questioned and attacked and criticized Israel for stopping Gazabound ships in order to check them, here is the answer," Netanyahu said, with the anti-ship radar-guided missiles, artillery rounds and assault-rifle ammunition laid out behind him. Netanyahu said that Iran's attempt to smuggle arms to Hamas in the Gaza Strip was a demonstration of the "axis of terror" that Israel needs to confront in the Middle East. "Every day there are efforts by Iran, Syria and terrorist organizations to smuggle weapons to Hezbollah and Hamas," Netanyahu said. "There is an axis of terror in our region, and we have to confront it if we want to prevent terrorism and create a chance for peace.

IDF
IDF, settlers save Arab baby
IDF forces and local paramedics helped save the life of a Palestinian woman and her newly born infant Wednesday, at the settlement where Fogel relatives are sitting Shiva for the five Israelis brutally murdered last week. Just as IDF Chief of Staff Benny Gantz arrived in Neve Tzuf to offer his condolences, a Palestinian cab raced towards the community's entrance. In it, soldiers and paramedics discovered a Palestinian woman in her 20s in advanced stages of labor and facing a life-threatening situation: The umbilical cord was wrapped around the young baby girl's neck, endangering both her and her mother.

PA honors drivers of suicide terrorists who murdered 34 in 2 attacks
One day before the terror attack in Itamar in which five members of an Israeli family were murdered in their home, PA TV broadcast a program honoring Ahlam Tamimi, the woman accomplice who drove the suicide terrorist to the Sbarro pizza restaurant in August 2001. 15 people were murdered in the attack, 7 of them children.
Tamimi, who is serving 16 life sentences, has never expressed remorse for her role in the terror attack.
One week earlier, PA TV honored Fahami Mashahara, who drove a suicide bomber to Gilo in Jerusalem in 2001 who killed 19 and injured more than a hundred. His daughter was invited to perform a song on PA TV.
PA TV is under the control of the office of PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas.
