The Bedford Turkey Trot fosters health, family-fun and community spirit...not to mention offering a chance to run off those extra helpings of mashed potatoes! Each year, more runners get involved, delving into a fun-filled day of exercise post-turkey day.
The race course has been carefully designed in an effort to allow participants to see and run through the wonderful village of Bedford and to enjoy the beautiful scenery. The race course begins on Court Street and continues on Seminary, Route 121, Indian Hill, Route 172 and Greenwich Road before ending in the Bedford Town Park.
Festivities will conclude with post-run snacks and children's races.
The 2009 Bedford Turkey Trot will be held on Saturday November 28, at 9:00 AM. This year's race is the FIFTH annual event, but a decades-old tradition in Bedford. The race is designed to be a health conscious event and most importantly - a fun family activity. Run, walk, dash, stagger - join us! Online registration for this year's race is now open! Visit www.bedfordturkeytrot.org.
* Please bring a canned good/non-perishable food item which will be donated to a local food bank.
