Rippowam Cisqua School invites you to the 2009-10 Foundations of Education Series Informative lectures on how to raise successful,
lifelong learners.
November 12, 10:00 a.m. ~ "Harnessing the Power of Critical Thinking" Bena Kallick, Ph.D., educator and author of Habits of Mind, discusses the power of critical thinking. At Rippowam Cisqua, an enormous amount of time is spent thinking about thinking. Particularly now, when information is so easy to come by, knowing what to do with that information is as important as the information itself. The School strives to impart to each student the value of this lesson within the confines of their everyday lives. On November 12th, Rippowam Cisqua School invites you to get a peek into our work and to hear from an expert on Critical Thinking. Join us as we discuss the very process of thinking, and get a real sense of how you can teach your own children these important skills. The Foundations of Education Series is an on-going lecture series on how to raise successful, lifelong learners. You do not need to be a parent of a Rippowam Cisqua student to enjoy these lectures, just a parent willing to learn! All lectures are free and open to the public and are held at Rippowam Cisqua School (Cisqua campus), 325 West Patent Road, Mount Kisco, New York. For more information or to RSVP please call (914) 244-1292 or email susie_danziger@rcsny.org. For the full schedule of lectures, click here. | |
