The discussion will focus on managing career, family and life, leadership, setting goals and realizing your vision. It also presents a superb networking opportunity to meet and build relationships with leaders in business and the community. A host of Supermoms will present their thoughts plus the audience of working mothers will surely have their own pearls of wisdom to share.

 Join the Westchester Land Trust and EssentialMom.com for a reading of The Lorax, by Dr. Seuss, followed by a fun seed planting activity.
Learn about "The Lorax", a creature who teaches the importance of taking care of the environment and the dangers of chopping down the beautiful "Truffula Trees" near his home until sadly there are none left. In the end, the greedy Once-ler who has chopped down the trees recounts the story to a little boy and reveals that he has one last Truffula seed left which he gives him to start a new forest.

Also happening at the Westchester Land Trust...
Connecting more people with the land is what land preservation is all about. With this as its mission, Westchester Land Trust (WLT) has posted a 90 second video on YouTube that highlights the Westchester Wilderness Walk, one of WLT's most beautiful preserves which is open to the public and features many walking trails perfect for families. The video was produced by production dynamo Pete Menzies, aka my husband and features some pretty cute kids too...yes, mine.
The video is part of a campaign by WLT asking each family that views the video to contribute ten dollars for land preservation and then pass the video link on to a friend. WLT's goal is to protect 10,000 acres of land in Westchester County by 2012. In these tough economic times, a small investment by many people can make a big difference.
