Happy New Year!

Wow am I ready for a New Year!  2008 hasn't brought the best of luck for the world out there.  A tough one all around, but an interesting one for the history books to be sure.  This year as the midnight hour approaches, I keep thinking about the many interesting, sad, crazy, happy, and amazing changes in the world.

A sappy coating always approaches with the hour though and I think back to the changes that have happened in my own home.  Lost teeth, report cards, music lessons, santa letters, stories written, vacations taken, books read, lunches packed, bedtimes argued, and fun had.

At the end of the day, no matter what is happening in the world, the center remains in the two pairs of blue eyes looking up at me, no matter whether it's with anger, disappointment, happiness, tears, or joy.  Whatever the day brings, the center will be there and every day you get up, shake the problems, enjoy the smiles, and face the day.  And at the end of the day when their eyes close and they lie sleeping in their beds, no matter what else is happening, I can look at them and say, ok, what's next.

This year's resolution leaves me thinking not of diets, or money, or life's small issues, but of hoping that I can always say, ok, what's next.  I have beautiful children, wonderful friends and family, and a husband I love, and with that, life is always full.

Whatever your beliefs, your resolutions, or your dreams, we hope that 2009 brings you peace, prosperity, and lots of love.  We wish for you more hugs, more laughter, and more luck than you can handle.

Love your kids, love your friends, and love your partners in life.  Be kind, be happy, and be hopeful.

Our best wishes to you in 2009!
