Whether you are the most organized person or a fly-by-the-seat of your pants kind of gal, my guess is that the Holiday stress has snuck up on you by this point. There's always a last minute chore, an over-abundance of Holiday cheer needing attention, or an unexpected twist in the vacation week plans.
Personally, the Holiday stress didn't tap me on the shoulder this week, it hit me with a 2x4...but I admit that I am used to it by now. I swear, every year I am somehow woefully surprised by the short length of time between Thanksgiving and the Holidays. Why can't I just realize ahead of time that I need to get things done and just get them done?! Impossible. What would the Holidays look like without me complaining that I haven't finished my shopping, last minute creating special projects for the husband and kids, staying up late at night trying to get work done so that I can attend the school Holiday extravaganza, or agreeing to make cupcakes for the winter party? Just wouldn't be the same I guess.
