Westchester Wishes
 
'Tis the season to give, and EssentialMom.com is calling upon the Westchester community to help bring essential goods such as food, clothing and books to needy families across the county. 

 

EssentialMom's Westchester Wishes campaign offers lists of critical items needed by area non-profits, ways to get involved, and ideas on how to teach giving to your children, all in an effort to lessen the economic difficulties faced by an increasing number of local families.   

 

Westchester Wishes will feature articles and information on family giving, social responsibility, value lessons for children and profiles of participating organizations for consideration.   
 
Westchester Wishes is housed in our annual holiday resource area.  Among local charities featured are Open Door, Friends of Karen, Westchester Jewish Community Services, and The Community Center of Northern Westchester.

All Westchester Wishes participants -- organizations, local businesses and families will be acknowledged and encouraged to share their ideas to inspire others.  Send in your favorite stories, pictures, and ideas and we will post them for others to see!  Email us your information to: info@essentialmom.com.

 

We have received numerous requests from local non-profits who are feeling the squeeze this Holiday Season and worry that there will be a lot of families suffering this year.  If you can do anything at all, it's a help!  There are a variety of giving levels showcased as well as offerings from many different causes, there's a little something for everyone.
