Lawrence Hospital Center is proud to announce the construction of a new Maternity Center.  The Maternity Center features 23 private rooms each with their own shower and flat screen TV.  Plus, the maternity wing is designed to resemble a home away from home for families.  There are relaxing colors, all new furnishings along with soft lighting and access to the Internet.  The new space will also include our Level I Nursery.  The Level II Nursery for babies with special needs or who are premature will remain on the 4th floor.  It is staffed by neonatologists from New York Presbyterian/Cornell Weill so babies receive the same expert care that is provided in city hospitals.
 
Lawrence Hospital Center's Labor and Delivery department has won a 5-star rating, the highest, from a leader in independent healthcare ratings.  We have earned that prestigious ranking by delivering nearly 2,000 babies each year.  In addition to giving extraordinary care to mothers with normal pregnancies, we also provide advanced medical expertise for at-risk mothers and babies.  Our services also include pre-natal testing.
 
Because childbirth engages the entire family, Lawrence offers educational programs for both parents and siblings.  These classes will give you the information you need to make the best decisions about your childbirth experience.
