TOP FIVE CORNER Why you won't hear from us for two weeks!"
1. It is the holiday season and you are so busy, you won't have time to read us anyway.
2. It is the holiday season, and we haven't even started shopping or baking or any of that holiday stuff yet.
3. It is the holiday season, and Carol said she wasn't writing one more word this year. (I would do it but Carol said no, and you all know how obedient I am)
4. It is the holiday season and we want to watch Hallmark and Lifetime Movies and eat cookies. (we have to go buy them at the bakery because we haven't baked yet)
5. We hope if we take a mini-vacation, you will miss us and eagerly check out the newsletter on December 31 with fun announcements, contests, and lots of ideas to help you make money and beautiful homes in 2009. (okay, I know it isn't quite the end of the year, but don't tell Carol)
Have a wonderful Holiday Season!
Fondly,
JoAnne Lenart-Weary and Carol Bass

A Fond Farewell to Alice Feltz |
Three years ago, four women had a vision to create an association that promoted and added credibility to those of us who made a living offering decorating and its various specialites to the world. Kris Porter, Jane Douglas, Carol Bass and JoAnne Lenart-Weary all combined money, talent, and a lot of hard work to launch The SDP. Jane went on to retire and taking her place was her sister, Alice Feltz. Alice already had been the admistrative executive for The SDP but now she joined us as a Board Member. The four of us
worked very hard and laughed often as we built The SDP to a level where it was achieving great industry respect. Our vision never included us being in leadership forever and in October we felt it was time to pass it on to others who we hope will treat it with the same love and respect we did. Kris, Carol and JoAnne stepped back from leadership in October while Alice continued to hold down the fort by handling all of the member needs and helping the new board with their transition. Well, time for Alice to retire and travel with her sister, Jane and her husband, Bob. She will spend more time with grandkids and enjoy her life. Alice, we wish you much joy and love in this next phase of your life. Thank you for being such a credit to The SDP and a wonderful friend.

Our first ever "at Home" Live Class is wrapping up this week and we have had great feedback. This class was our experiment but the result has been so great, we are expanding our learn at home opportunities. Interior Redesign and Staging taught at home will be coming in 2009 as well. Stay tuned for details about these classes.
Our learn at home or distance learning has a twist. Your classes will be led live by JoAnne Lenart-Weary with an opportunity to review the materials by accessing the taped version of each class as well to reinforce your learning. You can ask your questsions in real time instead of waiting for someone to get back to you as you would with an on-demand class. We believe the personal element is critical.
The Color with no Regrets "at Home" begins with you receiving your color kit in the mail with your workbook, paint deck, color wheel, and a variety of other learning aids to help you to get the most out of the class. Class includes group and private class time so you maximize your learning opportunities. You will also have regular "homework" to help you to put what you learn into action.
Color with No Regrets "at Home" $849, sign up by December 19 at $799. Deposit of $400 due at sign up, balance due by January 5.
Class size is limited so sign up NOW! Class will run 6 consectuive Tuesdays at Noon OR 7 PM. You select if Day or Evening class is better for you each week. We also will have some bonus times with times to be determined as we go.
